Where would humans live when Earth is full?

This question may sound like it's taken from a sci-fi movie, but seriously speaking, it's something worth thinking of. Some countries on this planet are overpopulated. In fact, it's so bad that poverty is on the rise, so is unemployment rate and crimes. In your opinion, when Earth is filled to its brim one fine day (maybe sooner than we think), where would our future generation live? Would they live on other planets, or would our homes sit high up in the sky on the 100th floor of a 1km tall building?

Some sci-fi can actually considered as future reference if in case something happens to earth. and Over population can be a problem because people get to ruin mother nature, exploit and destroy resources. If Earth doesn't found a way to colonize other planets before it became worst on earth, the next generation may not survive another century..

Earth full? That sounds strange. I guess you watched some sciFi movies. yes it casn happen but not in the near future. Global warming is on and i don't think we will have to wait for an over population to end the earth. The heat is on and we have to come up with steps to prevent global warming. There might be a parallel world here and we might not know the entry. so that will take us to another plave where we build everything again like eartn and then move to another and soo.

There is no living condition in other planets. In other planets there are no layers like we have to protect us from being attacked by the flying meteors. Take a look at the moon surface. It's full of holes as a result of the falling meteors.

It will eventually balance itself out, just like with other animal populations. When a plant or animal population exceeds it's limit, there aren't enough resources to go around and the population suffers accordingly. Disease becomes more prolific, and the weaker individuals don't survive the hardships. Depending on the scale of the disease, famine, etc., a few could be lost, or a few million. Nature has a way of balancing out. I think we will experience a setback in our population way before we figure out how to live on other planets.

no where, there'd be wars and killing or completely no right to reproduce. no way would we be able to have a life on mars, tat technology is WAY into the future. until they actually complete something like tat, we wouldnt be able to live on mars. so tat might be manyy years in the future tat it could be a possibility to live there.

I like to think about space travel. Maybe we have to start preparing some huge spaceships so that when that time come, we can find another planet where we can live. Because if Earth is overpopulated, I don't think we will have enough resources to spend for all men. In that time, we have to find another way to survive. Oxygen will be so little. Maybe everyone has to buy it, not free again like now. Or, maybe if the Earth is overpopulated, that's the time when Jesus will come and bring just the people who believes in Him to live forever with Him in heaven. The rest will have to suffer in the fiery hell.

i don't think the earth can be so full that there wouldn't be space for anyone to live again, this is because as people are born so also people will die and life continues to go on, i do believe that more than half of the total space in the world has not been utilized hence the space would still be there

Yes, we may live on the water in ships, islands, and then, we will find a planet i think, where we can live.

population is fast becoming a major problem specially when developing countries are failing to do anything about it. before space becomes a problem other factors will work in like limited natural resources and its cost. already essential commodities have become very expensive (at least here in India)i think sooner or later it will be survival of the fittest.

Yeah you are right that one day the earth will be fully occupied. And I also think that many wars will be fought between many countries for resources such as water, land, etc. as earth moves forward with it's population. And also many more forests may be cut down to provide land for people to live. This disturbs the balance of the eco system and will even have consequences like global warming, green house effect etc. So due to all reasons, one day sooner than later, the earth will be no more. In order to prevent this groups of population can should leave the earth. But where will they leave to? That will depend on the technology then. If we have the technology for humans to survive in Mars, then this planet is the best option for storing human population. I don't think that the your 100th floor theory will work out, because it's not just shelter we need. We need many other commodities in the same way that everyone else does. The problem is if we can find enough of these raw commodities for each and everyone when even today one-third of the world population is in poverty. Hope this response gets rated positive! Happy mylotting!

The best way is establish more church and ask jesus take people to heaven. Move to another planet or build a new huge satellite is impossible.

I think that people are going to build up buildings for people to live in. They will become very high and that's what the world will be covered up in. i think that there is a chance of humans living on other planets but i think that will happen in the distant future. We are definitely not close enough to living on mars or on the moon. I just hope that we will be able to sort out some of our problems before it's too late.

right now we don't have to worry about this. i read that there are more older people than there are childern. this surprised me because all i see is childern you know. but if the earth ever gets full i think we will live on the moon. i heard like 3 years ago from this book that in 10 years we should have people living in space. i kind of don't believe it but i want to really bad, because i want my family to be the first to live up there. it could be like zeon. ( a space movie)

Earth right now has around 6 billion people. I suppose it would take another 200 years to at least double that number. If you look at population density around the world US , Europe, Australia and Russia alone could easily fit in those many people. The human race faces more issues than land to live on. Right from climate change to cosmic ray blasts we have all possibilities within a probable range which could in fact wipe us out. But if we let our imagination flow, then we may be living on the Moon or the Mars in the future.

We would probably find ways to live in the deserts and ice regions and eventually in space because theres a reason why its called space! It has a lot of space for us lol.

I think people can live in other planet. Under the developing science, we will develop other planet, and we can live there finally.

It would be millions of years before the earth is overpopulated that much. There is so much open space left to populate in most areas of the world.
