We so often get involved in the negative things that go on in our life that we forget about the simple pleasures of childhood. So I thought I would start a fun conversation. What is the cutest thing that your child has done this week.
I have two children, my six-year-old came home from a friend's house and told me that she had a permission slip to go on a field trip with school (it's summer break, she hasn't been at school all summer). She handed me the slip and she and her friend had written a complete field trip permission slip to go to Lowe's for the Kids Saturday Workshop. I thought it was adorable.
My two-year-old. We went shopping yesterday to get some pots to replant our tomatos. This morning he picked up one of the pots, that is as big as he is and put it on his head and then informed us that he was a pot head. I just about died laughing.

My baby is just 7 months old... but the sweetest thing he did for me (atleast that's how I thought of it, lol), is that, whenever I put him to sleep, he usually loves stroking my arms until he falls asleep. I don't know if every 7 month old baby does this. For me, it's just he sweetest thing.

I think so too. He seems to be learning a lot of things everyday. When he was younger, I feel like he's still a part of me... but now that his a few months older, he seems to have his own identity already. Playing the way he wants to, wanting to be carried at times, gets cranky when a bit sleepy. It's really cute that I can now see him as an individual... and more than a part of me.

That is so sweet. Treasure those precious moments while they last because it seems like the kids definitely grow up way too quick.

Hi dornnmwin, well we aren't even half way through the 13 weeks school hols yet so understandably my son has a bored period every day before it's time to go to the beach or meet friends. So at the weekend he expressed a wish to learn how to iron. I explained he had to be very careful as didn't want him burning himself but let him have a go. He apparently enjoyed it (well it was a novelty) and every day since has asked me if I have any ironing for him to do. I'd going to take advantage again later as I know it won't last long and soon he'll realise just how tedious it is but it is so cute when he asks me and he does it so seriously.

Very cute. How old is he. I only wish that a child's desire to do chores wouldn't disappear the way that it does.

Who knows where he picked it up. I'm sure you have to grin every time that you see him do it though. Kids learn the darndest things from the darndest places.

My daugher is 13 months so she is forever doing the cutest things...just her cute little baby talk is so cute! But I'd have to say the best was last night...my husband had brought the laundry upstairs & sat the basket on the dining-room floor...she loves to look through the laundry...well she pulled out the dryer sheet & she tucked it under her neck, put her chin to her chest & walked all around the house with it there for like an hour last night! OMG! It was hysterical! I have no clue what made her do that! Though when she went to bed she smelled extra good cuz the scent had rubbed off on her pj's!!!

I can just picture it. She has got to be the cutest thing. She's definitely in the cutest stage. The joys of your daughter are just going to continue to increase, but when she gets a little older and starts getting into trouble, you have to remember these cute things that she does now.

That is so funny. Mine has been lacking in her speech up until the last year or so. And it's been funny to hear her say things that we normally wouldn't think about. But my friend tiff and I were driving to cleveland one night and she was with us and she was cussing her guy friend out and I tried to tell tiff that she needed to watch because kat was copying everything and before I knew it she was repeating everything she was saying on the phone. It was hallarious, and after we laughed about it we explained that sissy really didn't need to be saying those words because they were bad words. So when tiff let one slip on accident my daughter would say. Sissy thats a bad word. Then, this past week especially she's been telling me where I need to go to get what she needs to fix her food. I was listening to her and i told her to give me just a minute and I would go to the kitchen and get it for her. She goes in the kitchen and sees the can in the cupbord space and comes and tells me "go to the kitchen, then she points in the cupbaord space and I couldn't see it, the can was turned around with the fat label on the side and she knew that was her can of spaghettios in the space. She then says I knew it was in there. Now put it in the microwave, then she points in the microwave and tells me it goes in there." I just laughed. She hadn't spoken that clearly since she started talking.

First off, your daughter's got a great name. My daughter is Kat (or Kathryn) as well. My son, Paul, too is very guilty of mocking the things that he isn't supposed to say. I can't help but laugh, but I know I should be trying to make him stop.

Hope that you have a safe and easy delivery. You are going to be more in love than you ever would have known existed the day that your baby is born. Good luck with your new little bundle.

I am not a mother or even a father but then I am working in the kindergarten and the cutest thing that the children did today was really cute and funny! one of the children was walking towards his friend and suddenly he says hello wassup piepie, and then the next thing he took out a pie and gave it to his friend and share the breakfast, that is so cute and kind of him but towards the end he asked his friend to throw away the rubbish.

So cute. Kindergarteners are about the cutest thing that there is. My daughter always came home with very cute stories of what her classmates did last year when she was in school.

today my son participated in their school's sports fest, and he played soccer for the first time. at first i was not confident that he'd do well, thinking that it is his first time and he does not know anything about soccer except that he had to kick the ball. but then when he got to kick the ball, he kicked it so hard that it went halfway through the field, then he ran after it and kicked it again and again until it was almost on their goal, but he was not told that he have to get the ball in the goal, he kicked and kicked until it got to their opponent's goal and their opponent scored! it sends a lot of moms laughing and we were really amused, by the way, my son's only four years old....

That is cute. Did you get a picture. Soccer is a tough sport, and it takes a time for little kids to understand it. I'm sure he is just as proud of his first goal as he would have been had it been for the right team.

oh dora! you must be having a great time with your lovely kids :)
Kids just make us forget all our miseries of life and makes us enjoy every bit of time you spend with them. I have a 1.3 years ol daughter and she is simply adorable. She has started her baby talk whichis the most funniest and non-understandable language i really know - when ever she goes say adagadagada pointing something we simply go laughing returning back her baby talk (as though we have understood her talk).
Now that she is exploring manythings and imitates what we do - it is fun to watch her all the time - so i just have to write pages and pages of what she has been doing last week :) - LOL

That is one of the cutest stages that kids go through. I love it when the children find their voices. And the fact that she is trying to talk is such an important milestone too.

My son has just turned one. The latest thing that he has picked up this week is putting anything that he picks up and put it against his ear as if it were his handphone. So, everytime, we wanted him to do that, all we have to is to say "Hello!" and he would immediately put whatever he is holding up against his ear. I wonder what would be next.

Do dogs count? (says the crazy dog-loving lady)My little boy (dog) just had stand-off with his reflection in the TV cabinet. Not sure who won, but when I opened the door, he just kept going in and out looking for his nemesis. Sweet dog. Not the brightest obviously.
