My association with mylot has been 3 years now. I absolutely love this place and endorse the brand everywhere I get a chance to. It has been a beautiful affair so far with some undefined happiness and solace.
Does that mean I have had no complaints whatsoever?
Oh yes, I had been angry, I had been annoyed, sad because of mylot's unaccountability to all things good, bad or worse. You raise your voice and you get a thrash! I have lost innumerable points here and of late, some 4-5 dollars at one go, just like that! And today I lost more than 20 (24 to be precise) points, third time in a row!
I am upset, that's not unjustified but I am not going to quit. My point is, how do we get a clear picture of whatever happening here? There is no one who can help us with our queries, there is no one whom we can say Thanks, Sorry, Why did you, How to stuffs?
Good or bad mylot should be accountable. Where is mylot's accountability?

Hi Mimpi!!
I can understand your agony and pain and I know you put in lots of hard work in your discussions/responses/comments and if any of your posts get deleted or your total number of posts suddenly comes down without any rhyme or reason, you are bound to feel bad and hurt. Losing 4-5 dollars also looks pretty bad, because it is not an easy task to earn those 4-5 dollars here. I think, you can address your issues to mylot authorities and check if they respond to your queries. I think 'writing' them may be of some help. As far as reduction in posts is concerned, few days ago, when one day I opened my mylot page, my posts suddenly got reduced from 7711 to 7694 in front of my eyes and I could not believe it. I think, when some re-alignment or re-adjustment of posts is done or some older or unwanted posts are deleted, and if we have contributed to those posts, our total number also comes down. Having said all this, there are many 'positive things' on mylot, which we should 'celebrate' and 'enjoy'.

Thanks Deepak.
I celebrate each moment I get to spend here. This place is wonderful! It also hurts when you see unjustified elimination and termination of accounts and other thins that we have no clue about! I have written to them and also wrote today about this.
Having said this, I just read Mikee's post where he writes about admin getting back to him telling him that they are working o these flaws. I am hopeful. Let's be patient.

Hi mimpi!
I love it here too, so much that probably I get too involved emotionally
I am here for over two years and I see many great things, I have met many great people from all over the world, many who have become friends outside of the Lot and offline too. It saddens me that some others come and use our home here for their own benefit, using us too, then they disappear and we do not always know why. I have faith that myLot will be around for many years to come and in order to achieve this they must be strict and stick to their Terms, which we all agree to on joining. Some of the users, who while they are here become friends, do not follow exactly what they agreed to and when myLot becomes aware of this they lose their account. At that point those that had befriended them are sad and complain, without being aware of what caused the deletion.
I feel we should trust myLot. They need us here to keep their site alive but they cannot accomodate those users who do things their own way obviously.
If we need to contact them we can use the link at the bottom of the page. If the matter has not been covered in the FAQs and does not concern another user then they WILL RESPOND as many recently, myself included, can confirm.

Thanks for your response. I agree with you there. However, you kind of misinterpreted my thoughts. I love this place and no way I am belittling myLot's pretty face. There are certainly many factors that result in various discrepancies. Transparency is lovely and I am sure you too want that here.
I am sorry that my message got mixed up there. Have a nice day.

Twenty four is a very large number to get deleted Mimpi and i really hope that this would not have affected your earnings. I noticed my count decreasing by two yesterday and i am irritated and have a lot of questions. I can understand what you must be going through , now that it's happened for the 3rd time in the recent past.
Yes the site is great and it's one of a kind. I would endorse and recommend it. I would still participate in it. And it for these reasons that i for one would want to have to have a total understanding or the system.
Why is there such a drastic decrease in the number of posts in one day as in your cae?
Is it because of the deletion of one or more number of members ?
Is it because of the deletion of some discussions ?
What does make it more puzzling is when there is no message/no communication on this front at all and you are left to guess the reasons of it on your own.
It's because we find this place special, that we will always the encourage the good and find ways of improving or noticing things we find deficient. You are justified in seeking answers Mimpi. I know i would want to know or hear of some communication as well.

Thanks for your concern. we all love this place to be a good one where we live together with much respect for each other. As we both know that this discussion is not about my grouches about my earning and points. We all want little bit of transparency. Many here have misinterpreted my thoughts. Accountability is not bad and i am not demanding anything from anyone. The maliciousness must be reported and i try to do that all the time and so do you. We all love mylot.

I was gonna say 'Well, they don't hold YOU accountable.' And they really don't, but they kinda do
To explain how they don't hold you accountable, I have to tell you that I get kind of annoyed at game-shows when they refer to 'earned-points lost' as "MONEY lost"---I'm practically jumping up-&-down screaming 'NO, YOU DIDN'T "LOSE" THAT MONEY; YOU NEVER HAD THAT MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE '
Just the same way, you can't LOSE money on myLot; not unless you gave them money to give back to you. What you 'lose' is credit myLot thought they had given you but discovered that they COULDN'T give you that credit. THAT'S who they are accountable to: themselves, just like you are accountable to YOURself.

Hi Mou
Well , nice discussion.
U r right the time u spent is like an affair as u spend time here
and time is part of ur life
but if you will ask me, then i would say that if its ur affairs and it give you many happy moments, then we shoould complaint about some bad patches. u never know if u loose these points cause of ur discussion or some other discussion you participated in.
And should not go for accoutability in Affair, but sacrifice is best Part
I am glad that mylot gave me some very nice and good friend, i dont want anything else from here
Take care

Hi Mimpi,
First of all congratulations for completing three years here, in mylot.
I am sorry to learn about losing points. Today I am also a victim of loosing 7 points at one go. I tried to check it which discussion got deleted and found two (started by tigeruncle – Subash, the whole discussion he started got deleted) then I stopped the search by thinking why should I waste my time. (I have seen that you reply to him that is why I am revealing this). Losing 24 numbers is really high. I appreciate your mentality for not going to surrender. I think each member have their own disappointed stories to tell.

Thanks Sreekala. Thanks a lot for mentioning about Subash. I received one message in AC from Subash's father telling that he has been banned here and can';t log in! I am really sorry to hear that. But you gave me the clue to my and your lost points! I have responded to almost all of his recent discussions and now he being banned his discussions are cleared! So, that justifies it all.
I must ask myLot to reinstate Tigeruncle's account. It's disheartening to miss a regular user.

I am so sad when I read what is written here
We all have users on our friend list and we help each other to have fun here and of course to earn. Sadly some of those users do not know the real meaning of the word 'friend' and they use us for their own benefit.
The user 'tigeruncle' (I am sorry but I cannot call him a friend) was on many lists here including my own but he was not using myLot as it should have been used and has lost his account causing loss of posts and earnings to many, imcluding me.
If we all read the responses in the discussions we respond to then we would be aware of what many other friends, real friends, try to point out. His discussions were plagiarised and that is not only a violation here but an offence.
This friend warned us all but sadly some were still unaware

Well Mimpi I really do not know, I do wish Mylot would let us know how that many points can be lost
I not so long ago lost 100 Points and do you know what was strange? I wasn't even active here at the time, so how di I manage to loose that many, if we knew why we lost them it would be ok, but it is always a puzzle, I am sorry you lost tat many points again

Only after I read Deepk's rsponse and what you have written I became aware of things like this. Somehow I just peep in and respond or start a discussion topic and comment and do not look at much mimpi.I can understand how a person would feel if suddenly your points drop in front of your eyes.Thank God I have not looked hard at the bracket. As such i am pretty resigned to the slow earnings here and would not change my level of activity[it is based purely on freetime and my mood].You are a seasoned person ;I feel that you should just enjoy it for the sake of participation and adopt Deepak's strategy of looking at the positive things here. But you should contact admin and enquire about the 4 to 5 dollars reduction because that is far too high a figure and so much of hard work musthave gone into getting the amount.

Sorry to hear this mimpz, and I totally understand you. I mean, I've been there few times and till now I'm still losing some posts and earnings every now and then and like you, I still love this place. I do understand that we lost posts when we respond to some discussions that were deleted or the member were banned. But sometimes it's hard to say of which discussions will be deleted, so we can at least try to avoid responding to it. And like Alokn says, I also hope that your earnings wont be affected.

Hi mou, you are three years but I am merely 6 months but feel I have been hetre for ages but in a maze and mystery. I do not understand so many things here. I asked the old like youu and got the same 'sorry' answer.
seconding your point issue I feel that mylot should have accountability. One thing is sure that we are not here for some pences and therefotre whenever some points and pence are deducted should be relayed as to for what reason this or that happened and then only we would feel like belonging to or else one can not stand ever on one foot.

Hi Mimpi,
Wow, three years at myLot and still going! Kudos to you.
I have seen some discussions here about losing points and stars, and thereby affecting their reputation too. I agree with you that myLot should not turn deaf ears to all these concerns, the members here make up the community and have played a great part in myLot's success. The admin should recognize this and should try to do something to address the issue otherwise, some may get tired of it eventually and just leave (I know it's remote but it's still possible). But amidst all these, it is still a great place to hang out, so let's just hope and pray myLot will act on it so we can be all happy. Cheers!

Yes, Mikee had got a reply from mylot admin. I really appreciate that and that they are working on it. Post deletion and account termination keep happening here fpr all right reasons. We must be conversant with FAQs of the place before and as we join. I am sorry that you lost some numbers. May be some posts you had responded to got deleted.

What is a point? Are you talking about the number in the parens? I have been hanging out on myLot for a few years now too, but have never had time to try to figure out how some of this stuff works.
However, my feeling is that myLot is a sort of like a game that we play with the Game Master's permission and the people who own myLot are the Game Masters. So I don't think they are legally or morally required to have any accountability, or fairness, or anything like that. It is their game. We are members, but not stockholders.
Furthermore, I think the bottom line is there is no other program even remotely similar to myLot, therefore I cannot at all understand what anyone hopes to achieve by voicing complaints.
To me that would be similar to telling a neighbor "I don't like the color of your house" and if you were that neighbor you might say "OK, fine, here is a list of acceptable colors, you choose one, then you go buy the paint and the brushes and the drop cloths, and insurance, and then YOU paint my house if you don't like my color." But I don't think very many people would take you up on that. They would rather sit idly by and complain.

Thanks for your response but sorry I do not quite agree with you there.
I have lived in this place and I enjoy being here as much as any other true lover of the place would. I do feel the need and urgency to make my family or loved ones responsible for what they do and what they donot. I stand tall for all my doings - good or bad. Life would have been different without being accountable for the stuffs we do. That's my perspective. It's not about fairness or unfairness, moral or legal stuffs, its about our standpoint, our values.
If you missed my broader point, I would like to tell you that I do not just want myLot to be accountable for all bad things going on around. Wouldn't you want your child/ family to be answerable of their doings?

Woah, you were deducted that much..?? I havent heard of that until now. That is a huge amount and I think you were a victim of trolls or maybe you have a stalker of sorts that unfortunately makes it their mission to pull you down. I do hope that this kind of thing has stopped now, or at least have reduced in their aggressiveness that they might have found other things to be concerned with. Of course, I know that there is still the plagiarism issue. That has at least been monitored by other members as well as friends.
You're right that usually myLot doesnt directly concern itself with the general myLot member concerns. Now, there is Alice who speaks for the myLot admins. We can all get a chance to be heard by responding to her discussions everyday involving different topics about myLot. Hopefully, our responses can help keep our stay here at myLot safe and fun.

Give substantial replies, comment back, follow the discussion you have responded to or started, add new friends, reply to their posts, upload relevant images, do not plagiarise and copy-paste, be original..
I know this is cliched but trust me that's how it works and you get to earn more. Good luck!
