I used to have a problem with fruit flies. I never did find a good solution to deal with them. My problem finally got solved when the cat came to live with us - he eats anything that moves & seems to love flies. Good luck!

I've read a few home remedies on getting rid of them. One was to take like an old butter container, cut a few small holes in it, and put some water in it(have also heard water and dish soap and apple cider vinegar), and a piece of fruit. The theory is, the fruit flies are attracted to the fruit, fly in to the small holes, then drown. Try doing a search on natural ways to get rid of fruit flies, there's lots of info out there. I don't have a fruit fly problem, just regular nasty house flies, since there's so many cow and goat farms around us. I absolutely hate it, but the only thing that seems to work are those nasty looking glue strips. Looks absolutely lovely hanging from my ceiling in the kitchen lol. But, it does snag a lot of the little gnats as well.
