I am an Chinese guy living in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in China, and i have some foreign friends who had ever visited there and other famous cities such as Beijing,Shanghai,GFuangzhou,Kunming,Tibet......
Most of them like China very much and they'd like to share their Chinese stories and photos when they returned homelands.
Have you ever been China before and how many cities have you been to?For those who never been to China before, would you like to visit China and how much do you know China?

I am a high school student who living in Guangzhou,I have been Sichuan this year.
well what i think about sichuan dishes is peppery hot.I can't stand the hot flavor,
but I have an appetite for Panda.
Compare with Engilsh,Cantonese is Easier.isn't it?
What I want to say is "youguy's Engish is quite good .and I'm admire about it."
So I belive that You will learn Cantonese well.
luck!

Well,
I might conider visiting China and see places like Shanghai and Beijing . However,I am not conversant with Chinese Lanaguage and Chinese also seem hard to learn .
I feel that going to China and not knowing Chinese language would be a big
dis-advantage . Is that really the case ?
If not , China would be an exciting place to go .
Regards

Absolutely,Chinese is very very hard to learn for any foreigners! But don't be worried about this since there are a lot of foreign visitors coming to every year and most of them can't speak Chinese.
I don't think that would be a big disadvantage as long as you can speak English! It is a point that most of Chinese youth can speak English and there will be no language barrier!
You know that most of Chinese children start learning English from Kindergarten.
You will be very ok especially in big cities such as Beijing,Shanghai!

I am also Chinese.I was in shandong province. In my hometown there is a lot of foreigners to invest and build factories. So I know a few foreigners. We have become friends. They all said that China is good. The hospitality of the Chinese people.Work seriously.China's landscape, and has a long history.very much to attract them. They also invited us to travel to their countries.Or to their work there. In fact no matter which country people. As long as the true harmony, mutual respect.we are all friends.Welcome foreign friends to China.China welcomes the friendly friend.
