Is Mylot a place for every kind of people?

There are lots of people here that are tolerant of those that do not write perfect English. I'd say most of us are tolerant of that. The rules that get broken people are quick to point out to members so that they don't repeat their mistakes. Friendships can be made here, I've made lots of friends on this site

Mylot is absolutely an international community, a place to meet and make friends with people from countries around the world. It is very unique, and very pleasant forum to communicate regardless of the nationality and culture. Language may be a barrier some times, but mylotters certainly try to help one another. This may even be a place to practise and improve one's English language skills.

Dear icesmile, every day I see you sadder and this saddens me too 'Friendship' is not an empty word but it is the word itself which is abused nowadays. Friendship is still what it used to be but there are many who do not know what it means and that is the difference In my world offline, just like here online in myLot, I make no difference whatsoever about the age, nationality or gender of other Lotters. There is a place for everyone and each one of us deserves their slot in the world whatever they have to say and whatever is their culture or level of education. Each one of us can teach others something and we all have something to learn from others too. Here there are people from countries less fortunate than others and those of us lucky enough to have more in our daily life can learn a lot from those people who manage to get by with much less than us. I have always admired those users who do not have English as their first language but even so they have the courage to come here and post and join in the fun. THOSE are the users who put even more effort into every post they make because they have to think so many times before submitting! The only ones I cannot tolerate are those that cheat, but we'll keep thewm for a different discussion

Hi, icesmile When read this discussion, I feel depressed, I have been here for a few months, and I really love this place, I come from a non-English speaking country, so just as you say, my English is not good, first time I come here, just want to improve my English, I can communicate with other members here, and share ideas with them, I feel really happy about this, and I believe there are friendship here.

Here at mylot everything is taken into consideration. Be there for everybody, everybody will be there for you.

hi icesmile mylot is a place for everyone, newbies do commit mistakes which is normal and understandable and yeah not all the people in this world speak good english, i am not good at it myself, it's because we are born at different parts of the world and have different mother tongues, that doesn't mean we can not tolerate their grammer, it's so nice to meet them, and probably a lot to learn from them too, it's so nice to have so many different people out here and to listen to what they have to say, these all make a discussion more interesting, we get to learn more about other people and their culture, and yeah they can make nice friends too... this world has so many different people and so does mylot. Hello! MyLot is not the place for everybody. Intolerant people, fanatic, who cannot respect different views... Those don't belong here. You may have a religion. You may have a culture, a language, you may be different. But you must respect. Respect above everything. After all, here is a place where you can learn a lot. Probably, one of the places I have learned most about life, met different kind of people and everything. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Mylot is for everyone and it is a general place for everyone of different educational level. Mylot is a good place to improve writing and also our English language command. Not everyone is very fluent in speaking and writing and having the chance to improve is a very good thing. Helping one another here makes mylot a more meaningful place to be. After all, I find mylot is flooded with tolerant nice people.

I think Mylot is for everyone who enjoy all types of discussions from all different back grounds.I think it is a great place to find out new things as well as ask for an answer on a topic that you are not sure of.I have made alot of friends on here that are very nice people and they come across as very caring.We are all on here to have a nice time as well as getting paid for that.I have never had a problem with anyone on here no matter about where they have come from either.I do tend to answer more discussions on here made by people who i do class as a friend,you being one of many of my friends.Happy Mylotting.

it is very good question, because my english is not very good, i do not know all the rules :) but i know not about english, but people hwo are talking in my language and making mistakes, i trying to learn, of course if they want...

Mylot is a place for everyone. A free place where everyone can share and discuss with others. It is indeed true that some of us dont write that well, spell well or discuss great. Yes there maybe inferior but there will also be people in the lower levels andt hose with same level can tolerate one another.

I have the most agreement with you my dear friend.. it's not easy for some who has different background to be here, however I welcome everyone. I don't think MyLot is a place for us to judge English, how we use the language, as long as the person who wrote responses, and comments are able to be understand by the reader. I think MyLot is a place where we do not know much about a person, and we can accept no matter what the person put in the discussion.. it's also more of your own preference, as if you think you like that discussion and you understand it, you post responses, and vice versa.. Let's open our arms, and make this place somewhere that everyone can be here..

Actually the fact that there are people from all over the world with all kinds of different backgrounds is one of the main reasons that I was drawn into mylot. I see that there are people from different countries that don't speak the best English, but that doesn't bother me at all, all that matters is that I can understand what the person is trying to say. It doesn't stop me from contributing in a conversation that I think is relevant if the person that posted the conversation doesn't have the clearest language. So my opinion is that mylot is a great place for all different kinds of people.

ofcourse mylot is a place for every kind of people. people of all ages, any gender, age, nationality, language and what not. sometimes it helps people to get rid of their problems which is nagging them.

In my opinion mylot is an social site which allows the whole world to interact. There is no contraints such as language, religion or country. All are the same here.

l like this site and l like to talke to all the mylots no matter where they are from or language they speak l am sure the persons on mylot will welcome them here and get to know them

Yes, I agree. There are people from different countries, we can see populations on mylot are high in lots of countries. Besides that, some of them like to create dicussions and do postings nicely and politely, some of them respond to discussions really rude and against the discussion extremely. For me I'm just a regular kind, do postings to make earnings, try my best to accomplish what I can do here :-) By the way, I have to say you always can create some interesting topics that I always want to respond! We come here no only for friendships ,improving English level . We can share questions ,opinions about something .Although we are different from one to another ,we still can find common hobbies ,problems to discuss . As for me ,I want to meet people all over the world .

In mylot we have different members from different countries, languages, cultures, religion and education levels. Some of them are professional and some are not. Some are smart people and some are ordinary. As long you can relay on the discussion, give comment and advice and share experiences. Even though they were not good in english or even in the spelling as long they can relate I don't think you cannot find answer to your questions.

It is a certain place for anybody here who can make friends and have a lot of fun! So do you think that only native english speakers can be a member here?And i do think it is also a place for non-native speakers to practise and improve their language skills here.
