Encounter with spirits: Have you? I have.

No, I haven't been watching too much of Ghost Hunters or The Haunting. I was posted to a rural place somewhere in the jungle to work for 3 years. I lived in a wooden hut. Occasionally, when I sleep, I felt like something was pressing on my body at night, thus not allowing me to move. Only when I started to recite Buddhist verse (I'm a Buddhist) was my body "released" from the pressure. Natives told me that in the jungle, there are spirits, and that I've to close the window when I sleep; I believe it is the spirit that was pressing on my body - and it happened a few times. Sceptics would say that my mind was playing tricks on me.
What do you think? Have you had such experiences?

Does feeling a presence count ?
Never as significant as yours though.
I think coz I havent ventured to places like you do. Spirits roam differently in different areas.

Hi there, yeah. i believe that some people are able to feel the presence of spirits. WHen this happens, your heart beats faster, you skin surface changes; you may get goose pimples, and you'd feel cold, your hair appear to be standing. Indeed, these are signs though there's no real experience of being "disturbed" by it :)

I consider I am the lucky one that I have yet to be 'haunt'.. however, around my family members, I have seen with my own eyes... My brother was once 'disturb' by one of this spirit while we camp by the sea.. and I have an aunt who can communicate with the 'third' world. Well, I believe there are these spirits wondering around us, however since we have done nothing to disturb them, they won't disturb us.. and this is the human world, they would be the one more afraid than us living here.. I do hope that these spirit have one day find peace, and they would be back to GOD for good, however when they are just around, we should not disturb each other...
