The stomach portion of our body is one of the most easily get fat or bloated. For our eyesight, it is better to have a flat belly than a swollen one. If we will not take good care of it, we will notice that it will slowly swell. If it's already swollen too much, it will be harder to flatten it again. It is really good to maintain a flat stomach, a regular exercise can help you to achieve it. Some things I heard that can make our belly fat are sitting after meal and drinking alcoholic drinks. Is it true? What else do you know? Well, actually I have decided to start this topic because I saw that I already have a belly fat. Lol! Maybe due to excessive eating and lack of exercise. Lol! But the swollen is minor yet, I can still take it out and flatten it up again by constant exercise, sit-ups specifically. Lol! Is this topic matters to you, do you mind to have a flat stomach? Are you really taking care of your body, specifically your stomach? Please share.

I have a pretty ok belly, not a fat one. But, I want to make it flat as you see movie people have. I am working on it daily. But, I found that the exercises are not really makign a big change. Will sit ups work? Do you know any effective way of exercises to reduce belly? You can refer a website also. If you know, please help me.

My stomach has muscles because ,I exercise regularly. You can't flatten your stomach only with stomach exercises, you must burn all over and spot treat your flabby spots while body is warm from working out.I have a defined stomach no 6 pack as ,I am a women and think this is reserved for men to have the six pack abs. Us women should be soft but defined. If you check out exercise TV ,I am sure you will find something to help you out. It's said that using your own body to exercise instead of equipment is much more beneficial and you will see results much faster.I have found this to be true.

First of all, I want to congratulate you for maintaining your good looking and healthy stomach, for keeping it flat and with muscles. Yes, 6 pack is better to see in men and not in women. My situation now about my belly is not yet a big problem, just a minor one. Yes, I also believe that using our body to exercise is really make a better output than just being idle and doing nothing and just letting the equipment do the work. I am a hard worker in terms of exercise, I can punish myself by having a big patience in burning fats. That's why I am confident that I can flatten my stomach again. Aside from that, I am not a type person who can easily get fat, and that is an advantage. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Yes you look young ,I am 43 so it makes me feel good. There are women my age still using baby weight as a excuse for those belly pouches. But at your age its is important to start good habits ,so you never do have a problem.Preventative maintenance is always the best.

What I have noticed with my friends with big bellies are they eat a lot, everytime we have drinking sessions. Whether men or women, they have big bellies. But me at forty, I still have flat belly. I don't drink much, neither I eat much. So I suggest, that you minimize drinking, that starts too much food intake during drinking sessions. Hey, by the way, don't you have time to read and respond to your friends discussions? Remember that mylot is a give and take system. You will lose responders if people will never see you in their discussions...

That's true hotsummer. Just start doing a little bit of walking about thirty minutes a day, then do about 4 sets of 25 crunches and drink lots and lots of green tea. I'v heard that green tea is very good for flushing out all kind of toxins and it's also good for revving up the metabolism. I'm going to get me some green tea today and soon my own tummy will be flat again. Like it used to be back in the good old days. Good luck and I hope you reach your goals. Please add me as a friend if you will. Thnx, Peace out.

I have a flat belly and I am happy with it because I don't think swallen belly looks any good when we wear bikini or some clothes that shows the belly.
I used to have alittle muscle(not 6 six pack...) on my belly when I used to ride my bike every single day but not anymore!

Swollen belly.
Hello Markmoney, sorry to hear about your swollen belly. The first thing you might want to do is lay off the doughnuts. Doughnuts have so many calories in them, even if you eat just one. Well my stomach isn't real poofy so I guess I'm okay for now, even though I would like to flatten it just a little bit. But I really don't worry about it too much. I mean if somebody is going to judge me over the way my stomach looks then all I can say is they have judged me wrong. Anyhow you can drink green tea every day instead of sodas and just start walking and before you know it you will have walked that belly fat off and you will be looking as lean as a string bean! happy mylot.....Sorry but I don't feel much like talking about belly fat today:(....I'm just trying still trying to work on getting my energy up.....

That's a good set of advice. Actually it's just the excessive eating this passed few weeks that made my stomach swell. Lol! Yah, sweets, sodas, fatty foods, fried foods, haha, i love them all. Lol! I'm not really easy to get fat, but I just notiecd that my belly swollen a bit already, but I can still remove it. I hope you get back your energy. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

You got it Markmoney. You already know everything to do but it's just a matter of putting it all into action.Good Job!. I forgot to add that you should also start drinking green tea, it's very good for breaking down fat in the body. Make a plan then stick with it and you will soon see the results. Thanks for words of kindness concerning my energy. I was finally able to get some good sound sleep last night but woke up wit a crook in my shoulder, lols. My hubby told me that i need to get that thief out of there. So I started commanding it to go in the Name of Jesus. You know, that name which is above every name. Well that old crook is still trying to hang around but I know it will be leaving soon, so I'm not going to sweat it. Anyhow take care and have a great day and enjoy your body. It is a precious instrument in the sight of God. Be blessed.

I definately prefer a flat stomach. Thats what I have but it does extend a bit when its full. For me that means I need to take care not to over indulge and let my tummy grow fat.
I dont want a rock hard stomach at all. On me that is. I do not do my excercise as I shouls but the moment I feel that my body is threatened by fat I will be on the ball. So far I am quite satisfied with my metabolic rate.

i am an office girl so it means i always sit in our office for the whole 8 hours or less. that is why i am having a fat belly. and because i am not into exercising for a moment. i do hope i could bring those old body back. that i wont get tired so easily and that i could find time to go to the gym and sweat all those excess fats and bad cholesterol in my body. i am also trying to do sit ups again. i know i can do it. but just taking my time to get used to it as well.

I think we just have the same situation. I am also working in an office and for 8 hours, I mostly sit in front of my computer. It's good that you're not easily get tired and you know to yourself that you can flatten your stomach again and burn out those excess fats. That's also my reason why I'm confident that I can get my flat stomach back again. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

I have a flat belly. I have lots of friends that were born in the same hospital as me but they have outties. That is what we call it over here innies and outties. I would prefer an innie than an outtie.
It just doesn't look good with a six pack. Especially when you see an extra small 7 pack stick out. Just a little small joke.
But I would imagine when you wear a tank top that it would show too sometimes if you wear it to tight. But then again I have lots of friends that have outties but most of the time asians are innies but that all depends on the doctor I guess.
God bless

Hi doggyhouz! I'm glad that you have a flat belly. I like the terms you're using there for describing bellies, innies and outties. It's nice! Yes, for my opinion, it's also doesn't look good to have a very muscular body. An average one is enough. Yes, that is the reason why we wanted to maintain our stomach flat, because sometimes we tend to wear tight fitting clothes. And having a swollen one doesn't looks good. I think it has also something to do with genes. There are people who can easily get fat and there are also ones who are not. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting! God bless you too!

I have a perfect pot-belly and whether you like it or not is a matter of your own opinion. Exercising regularly is a good thing even without having goal of reducing your stomach fat, but if you have such a goal, you need to properly plan your exercise as well as gt a healthier diet. Best of luck for your endeavour.

fortunately no... my belly is just standard... not swollen but not too flat as well... and i am very happy about it... i am planning to maintain it as it is and hopefully i can... i don't wish to gain or lose weight anymore because i think my current weight is already ideal... if i can just maintain it, that will be great... take care and have a nice day...

I have a flat stomach because I am thin. I maintain it flat by doing water therapy. I can binge in the morning but I abstain in the evening. Sometimes, I can follow a routine but sometimes I also skip to it. It is just a water therapy or breathing exercise. The latter is more effective.

Hello Mark. Studies have shown that people who carry excess weight around the middle, male or female, are more prone to heart disease and diabetes. I don't have a swollen or fat belly. It is just not as "firm skinned" as when I was younger. Keep working at it!

My stomach is flat. I rarely exercise but I'm vegetarian and I try to only eat natural foods. I don't take medicines and if I become sick then i only use natural remedies. I unfortunately am having trouble gaining weight. Maybe more exercise will help the issue,

I have flat stomach.. I must admit I feel quiet happy about it I rarely do exercise, so I don't know why I have it. Maybe because I never eat snack, just main meal 3 times a day, a glass of soy milk in the evening and a portion of yogurt in the night. But I didn't join any diet program, I just like doing it.. You're right, stomach is the easily part to get fat. If I eat until reall full, my stomach will turn into swollen one. I ever get that swollen stomach, but after I manage my meal again, it turns into normal.. Hmm..my suggestion is just to manage your meal (because I personally don't really like exercise, except running,,lol,,)
Good luck and hope your minor swollen stomach will back into flat one !

In this age of internet it is very easy to get a bloated tummy. For most part of our day we just keep staring at our laptops and PCs runining our eyes and health. I am writing this but even I am doing the same thing. Worse is that I work in IT department of a company so my work there also is to stare at monitors full time. But yes I am making some efforts to keep my belly in. Whenever I find little time I just do some stretching. On weekends I play some outdoor games. Also I do not sleep just after dinner. I have heard that between your dinner and your sleep there should be atleast 1 hour. Following these simple rules I am taking care of my body.
