It is raining intermittently. I only have a few nuggets and seven eggs in the fridge. I would really like to have a good, hot meal. Going out though isn't advisable. That means I must settle with another omelet. Sigh! What about you? Having a decent lunch today?

HI there eileenleyva!:) As matter of fact, yes. I ate well during lunch time. Me and my friend ate at "Toto's" and the meal was great! it was also paired up with hot soup so it's not so bad. But hey, you just wait 'till the rain stops and you can go to the groceries for stocks ;)

Yup. Will hop on to the nearest supermarket. Food is of the essence. I love soup too.

I am single and I work outside in my hometown, therefore the lunch time is quite a leisure period. I would like to go out with friends or sometimes cook in my flat. I will serve them with cup noodles, LOL. Because I am a bad cook.

Cup noodles are not advisable, so the doctor said. Must boil your own chicken broth with a dash of salt and pepper, an onion, ginger, then add your noodles. That would be healthy enough for you and your friends. I also never cooked when I was single. Now, cooking had been my daily chore. I love it.

Do you have any pasta or salad in the house? Forget the omlette, make a yummy salad and some pasta.
I had some pasta and peanuts at my lunch today. It filled me, I try though, to leave my pasta for dinner time and eat my proteins at lunch.

Nada. Refrigerator is almost empty. The trip to the supermarket had been put on hold. Weather is not conducive to driving. Flash floods had blocked the exits. You gave me an idea to store in more pasta in the home. Easy to concoct on a rainy day. Thanks ladybugmagic!

No worries. Flash floods have to be pretty scary. I always think that we should have food packaged for like a week in case of emergency. And water.
I have yet to put a survival pack together. Thank you for the reminder.
Good luck! I hope everything works out just fine.
