Do you pack your lunch for work every day?

I recently started a full time job where I only have a 30 minute lunch break so I don't have time to run anywhere to buy lunch, not that I would if I could because I'd hate to spend that much money each and every day just to buy lunch. That's a waste. Also, we're supposed to have a chance to eat lunch with the children in our classroom, but that gets hectic and just isn't as possible as they claim it is so I've started to pack my lunch. So, I'm here to ask what you pack in your lunch. I've packed sandwiches, chips a drink and a snack since Wednesday and although I don't mind those items I know at some point I will tire of having the same old lunch. So, throw out some ideas! What do you pack for lunch? Leftovers? Whatever you can toss into a container?

I seldom do so. for one reason, I dislike to eat the same food as I did in the morning. for another, it's sometimes very messy to take lunch to work because the juice in the dish might leak out of the container. and if you happen to put it in your handbag, wow ! disater follows! Therefore, I order takeout every day, though it's costly, tasteless.

I work at home so I just eat lunch at home. However, I do pack lunch for my husband every day for lunch. Sometimes I will make him sandwhiches and a fruit, or sometimes if there is left overs I will pack up the left overs for him to eat. Sandwiches are more convenient for him though because there are days when he does not have time to go and heat something up.

I don't work but I am a full time student, so I have to have lunch during the day out side of my home. Most of the time I take my own lunch, as it is expensive to eat outside in a regular basis. I try to take different stuff for lunch as much as I can. Some of my favorite things to take are sandwich, rolls, fruits, dry dish with rice etc, Also I eat chips a lot as a snack.

when i worked it was for care of the elderly and i would take something to either heat in the microwave or just a sandwich and fruit or fruit cup/pudding cup sometimes. yes and often leftovers got taken with me. not sure if you have access to a microwave.

At my last workplace I used to take in a packed lunch every day for the same reasons you said, it saves time and money. Luckily for me I absolutely love sandwiches, so I would very the fillings every now and again but mainly the sandwich was always cheesy! I used to take in potato chips every now and again but knew they weren't the healthiest thing to eat every day, so some days I would take in some fruit instead!

Because of the way my schedule works, I don't take a lunch, just a few snacks. My husband takes a lunch - he'll take leftovers, wraps, muffins, hardboiled eggs, salad, fruit, smoothies, yoghurt, etc.

No I do not pack my lunch for work as I am staying in a flat with no gas connection to cook food so we always have it outside.

you cannot eat the lunch of outside daily because it can create a problem in stomach so better to pack the lunch from home when you are going to office.the home food is the better food you can eat without having any pain in the stomach

Hello highflyingxangel, I basicly pack anything. From indian food to sushi. Anything that is lying around. But I usually try to have the main. Things like a sandwich, chips, fruit, vegetables, something with sugar etc. Cheers! Thok

I've been on this diet for over 2 months, I have a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a couple of cups of cauliflower - I don't get bored easily with meals so long as they taste good and don't make me sick. One meal a day that's different - generally dinner, works for me. Oh, and I've lost about 20 lbs.

well, highflyingxangel, no I am not. I am to lazy, to tired and I like to have cooked meals. I work at a place for elderly care, so my breakfast is leftovers and luch I order there. I can pay directly from my monthly salary, so when ever I work I have my meals anyways. I work fulltime so I can afford it. But of course, If I was not that lazy as I am, I would make my lunch and breakfast to bring. However, I never cook that much to have left overs for next day.

I used to, back in the corporate days. You can only eat the same fast food so many times before it looses its taste. Sometimes I would cook extra food so I could take it the next day. Brown bagging it saves you time and money, plus its nice to actually have 30 minutes for lunch instead of the 13 minutes you might get going someplace and waiting in line.

I pack my lunch everyday to work too. I think it saves time and money as I won't need to rush to find food and spend the money to buy food. Furthermore, lunch break is only 45 minutes and I want to have a nutrition high value lunch too. Fastfood are usually too oily and not well prepared and hence not good for health and it is not worth the money too.

I don't bring my own lunch to work because I just don't have the time to pack food every day. I know that this compromises the nutrition that I get, but I try to choose healthy foods during lunch.

i wish i got the time to prepare for lunch box, but if i really got the time i do not think i know how to prepare. LOL. if someone willing to prepare for me, then i do not mind to take it to office. I think in the long run, this will save me a lots of money which i can use to invest and make more money.
