How often do you remember your dreams?

I am a vivid dreamer and I remember most of mine when I wake up the next day. Usually I try to figure out why I dreamt what I dreamt, because usually if you think about it you can figure it out. Subconsciously you think or see something during the day and at night it comes out in your dreams.
Do you analyze your dreams? And sometimes don't you just laugh when you rethink about them?

Dreams , No body has control over their dreams . They dream mostly what that has affected their lives or what they dream to have their hands on.. but remembering the last dream is not possible every time. It happens with me sometimes that i don't remmember the dream immediately after the sleep but after a day or two and there are some dreams which i can never forget neither remember.. NO BODY HAS CONTROL OVER THEIR DREAMS.....

I tend to believe we do have control over our dreams considering it is our own subconscious that is in control. It's kinda like having a sixth sense or psychic ability...everyone has it. If they realize it or accept it or figure out how it works we all have it. And dreams are a way of us filtering out what we thought of did and felt during the day.
So I have to disagree with the lack of control. If it was another person's subscious involved I would say yeah..
Thanks for responding.

It is not my intention to disagree with anybody but I do have control. I can go back and change things that have happened. I'm not sure how I do it but I do. It's like I'm completely conscious of my actions while dreaming. But this is not the case all the time. Maybe it happens when I'm close to waking up.

Hello taface412.
Dreams are state of unconscious mind and it is stated that in 90% of the cases we don't remember our dreams and the same is the case with me. I don't remember most of the dreams but some dreams of mine have deeply affected my mind and from the day I dreamt them, I could not forget them.
One of them is very interesting. I dreamt that I had directed a whole 2 hour action packed movie and I remember every scene of it clearly. From the next day, I started writing the story of that movie but it is stopped half completed due to some breakpoints. But that was one of my most interesting dream, I ever had.
Another dream is a horrible nightmare, and I dont want to discuss it, but that too has affected me much.
Happy MyLotting.

I too carry my dreams throughout the day with me. Especially when I dream of someone I know. I used to have one that recurred two to three times during a year and it was a distrubing one...but I know it stemmed from something that happened in my childhood. There is definitely a psyche connection to dreams and the dreamer.
Thanks for responding.

That's good that you have such vivid dreams. Dreams can help decode what is going on in your life. I do the same thing that you do with my dreams. Trying to figure out why I had that dream and what each piece of the dream could mean. I remember all of my dreams when I wake up and I dream just about every night. I also have a dream book by my bedside so that I can look up things for reference. I've found it to be pretty helpful. If you don't have a dream book maybe you could buy one. It has some interesting explanations in there.

well I remember all my dreams crystal clear.I do think about them n try to recall them as my dreams always show me things I wish to have or do but I am not getting it.
I do analyze my dreams.Sometimes I say to myself,"No.this will neva happenI should stop thinking of it". n sometimes I do get inspiration to do that something which I hesitated to do.

I don't remember my dreams as much as I would like because it depends on if I get a good night's rest and I usually don't because I tend to sleep less than 8 hours a night. But when I do remember, I like to go over what I remember as soon as I wake up because I know dreams are easy to forget. I don't really look too much into the dreams that I have unless it really sticks out from usual random dreams, so it all depends. For dreams that do stick out, I just like to think about it for a while and maybe share with a few friends to see their reactions. Yes, I totally laugh when I think about them again because it's so funny to see what my mind comes up with while I am asleep.

i dont always remember my dreams. but i have heard that people dream every night, but they dont always remember all of them. sometimes, i know i am dreaming, but as soon as i wake up, i forget it. it goes out of your memory fast. so, as soon as i wake up, i try to keep thinking about the dream, and i write it down in a notebook before i forget it. i try to analyze it, but i am not sure if i am good at it. it is mostly symbolism. but it is interesting anyway. i have fun with my dreams and trying to figure them out.

I usually remember my dreams. And I do analyze my dreams, sometimes it's just something that cross my mind in a day and when I sleep I dream about that. But sometimes the dreams are symbolize something. And yeah sometimes I laugh when I rethink about it, because I do silly things in my dreams. hahaha but thanks God its just a dream
