The doctor brought in a kitten to work last week. He found her overnight when she came out of the woods near his house, and approached his home. She came in the next morning riding on his shoulder, somewhat bird-like, and mewing. They gave her a capstar, ran a few tests on her and the doctor did an exam, and then he said, "All she needs now is a home." I begged mother, who I live and work with, to be able to take her home. I even said that I'd pay for all of her stuff. She finally agreed, and with the addition of my father's permission, we got her updated on her vaccines, and I was able to take her home when our shifts at the clinic ended. I am excited, as this is the first time that I am old enough to try to take care of a living thing by myself, outside of the work environment. Her name is Raiden, and she is about eight weeks old. For your reference, I will include a picture of her with this discussion topic.

Awe Valenas, that is so cute. Im really glad you were able to convince your mum that you are responsible enough to take care of it. Funny I just did a post about the kitten I found outside my apartment a couple of weeks ago. He is just adorable and has befriended the dogs and my quite wild cat too. Well done, I hope you have lots of happy times with her.

You took the kitten in? I am glad to hear that. It is good that he gets along with your pets- I wish I could say the same for Raiden. She gets scared easily and hisses a little, but she's come to accept some of our pets that have calmed down. Our other cat, Patch, doesn't like her and doesn't want to, either.

awwwww it is just because she is new. After awhile they will get along. I have 2 older cats and took in 3 kittens because no one wanted them. My older cats were like......I DON'T think so. Then my older female started playing with the kittens. But my older male is like.......you stay over there and I will stay over here HAHA!!!.
