I am sitting here in my new bedsit, watching the most amazing lightening storm. There is a huge bank of black clouds, almost obscuring the entire visible sky, but all around the edges I can see constant lightening strikes, its flashing all over the place, yet I can hardly hear any thunder and there is no rain at all. It is the wierdest storm I have ever seen. I love storms, they are so full of energy and power, do you like storms?

I hate them they scare me, but my husband loves them and sits outside to watch them. He also loves the energy and power of them.

Hi Ritz100 hatley here. oh how I hate electrical storms specially the lightening,it scares the bejabbers out of me and I grew up in South Dakota out on the prarie where all summer we had these horrific elctrical storms so you would think I would get used to it. thank God we do not have them here in Southern California.

When we're younger we love storms as we don't have classes in schools or works at the offices are being suspended and just love to stay at home. This time however, I just love the rains but deslike the storms.

I love storms too! The natural coldness of the atmosphere, the sound of the rain pouring, and well, yes occasionally, i also like lightning. A storm experience is never complete without lightning. But sometimes it gets scary when you think lightnings are getting sharper. What i do not exactly like are thunders. They make lightning seem more fierce. But thunder is also an element that completes a good or bad storm experience.

No, i am very sad when storms come out since many people are suffering from it, others need to evacuate from a higher places, all are damaged especially the plants, there are times soil erosion, electricity are not functioning well, the business is not quite good when there is storm. every body are affected, high cost of food, since all the plantations are being damage. So i never like it.

I do like storms actually, as long as they're not destructive to the environment and to the people, and it's not strong enough that my room is in danger of losing its ceiling. Otherwise, I love to hear the rain coming down during a storm. The wind is nice to listen to at times and the swaying of the trees.

Hey Ritz! Yes, I do love storms! I find them fascinating! As long as I am in the house and watching them from a nice safe place! We've had quite a few lightening storms like you are describing lately right here in NY lately! Sometimes it is just heat lightning so there is no thunder with that! But, either way the lightning is very scary and dangerous! For some strange reason I am drawn to the storms! I guess it's the mystery behind them!

Love storms and thunder, my nephew has started to like them as well and he's only 3! Makes a change because children normally hate them.

Living in New Mexico rain storms are hard to come by but when it does happen oh I get so excited. When you live somewhere where there is not alot of rain you look forward to a good storm. The more rain the louder the thunder and the brighter the lightening the better the storm. LOL LOL LOL

hello Ritz100, I don't like storms at all since I was still kid till now that I'm already married. I'm scared of it. I still remember when I was small that I was hiding when there was/were storms. Even covering my eyes. So afraid of it, for I saw a coconut tree that was heat by the storm and burned it.

Yes! The bigger & brighter, the better! I actually have a collection of memories of my favorite ones! I don't even need to be safe inside when they happen, either. One I loved was full of lightning strikes on electrical boxes in my neighborhood (dazzling blue explosions!), & I suddenly remembered my idiot roomie had left his dog tied up on a metal chain outside! So I just crossed myself & ran out into it! WOW! There are others more memorable, but that's one of the few times I actually did get scared! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

I love storms! Hearing thunder and rain falling at night calms me and puts me to sleep. And hearing rain in the morning is equally as pleasurable, because that means I can put off the daily run for a little while. Growing up in Texas, I have seen my share of some wicked storms. I have never seen a tornado, believe it or not, but I do remember standing on my front porch at about 10 years old, and the sky was green. Little clouds only as big as your head were slowly floating up the street at eye level, and you could cut the air with a knife. We thought we would see a tornado that day, but one touched down in a town nearby and missed us. There have been a few times when I've been in the woods where I have been a bit unnverved by storms, but nothing bad has happened to me yet as a result of one (knock on wood!).

Hi! It is not really the storm that I like. What I love is rainy season compared to summer. I love the cold winds and the sound of the rain. It may be gloomy to others but for me, I prefer it over the other.

I think I'm not supposed to say like this, but I still want to say that I don't really like the stroms. Forgive me for saying that because the storms is one of God's creation. I don't really like it because it is too loud for my ears. I had a lot of scary sotrms this year. I think I slept through one last night cause it was all muddy this morning. Thunder and lightning make me nervous, too. When the wind blows hard and the tree branches creepily scatch the house I need to get close to somebody for security. Most of us don't like storms too. Especially if it's the middle of the night!! (other than being scary, it disrupts our very important beauty sleep..)

Hello Ritz100, I enjoy storms but only when I am inside my house. If I have work to do I prefer it being sunny. It is quite entertaining to view a storm like that. Cheers! Thok
