If I were you, I'd consider myself lucky. I have been cursed with a size 12 (I'm tall) Whenever I find shoes that I like they either don't have them or they are way out of my budget. Not only do I have problems with shoes, but with pants and shirts. It's really depressing to go shopping. I may be the only female who doesn't like shopping.

I just had to answer this Size 5? OMG! You are just the opposite of me. I wear size 10, now that in itself isn't the problem. My problem is that my feet are double wide. The shoe makers really don't make pretty shoes for women with feet that wide. I can find boots for the winter, sneakers for the summer, sometimes sandals but they are always expensive, mostly I can find loafers but not of them are ever what you would call pretty and not a real big color choice either. I figure that the reason that my feet are so big is they need to be because I stand six feet tall in my bare feet. Now most of the population of the world are between 5'4" and 5'7" only about 5 to 10% of the worlds people are taller than 5'7". If you have small feet then what is your height? that has every thing to do with it. although I have a short niece who has large feet. So who really knows.

You think that is bad, try having feet the width of size 7 or 8 feet, and wearing size 10. There are virtually no narrow shoes out there at all. Thankfully, as I've gotten older though, my feet have finally gotten wider. In my area, you can find wide shoes easily. And for double wide, the mens shoes would fit. I wear a lot of mens shoes despite having somewhat narrow feet, because mens shoes are just the tiniest bit longer (size 8.5 mens). Sometimes I wish they made size 10.5 in womens shoes because the 10 isn't always big enough. And I don't even get the height! I am only 5'3" and I have these huge feet. At least if I were tall that would be kind of cool and make up for the feet.

I have tried to wear mens shoes before and that was just bad . my feet hurt so bad.I swore never again. I like being tall but my weight makes it hard to buy cloths that and the fact I have a 33 inch inseam. People don't think that I weight what I do (380lbs) tops I can find fine, but pants are hit and miss. But hey I can change a light bulb with a ladder! :)

In the US, size 5 is considered very small, almost tiny. I don't think I've worn size 5 since puberty. I now wear size 7, and my friends think I have small feet. I think they have big feet. Size 7 is a common size. Size 5 is small. Buy the boots before they are gone.

I wore size 5 in the 4th grade. In the 5th grade, I wore size 8. Now I wear size 10. I consider size 8 and under as tiny! LOL But 7 to 8 is probably the average. One of my friends has size 4 feet, but has to buy size 5 shoes since that's the smallest size.

My aunt, my mother's youngest sister, wore size 3. Talk about hard to find shoe size. She found a place in another state that handled that size. Whenever she could get there, she would buy several pair.

That's funny because I used to be a 5 1/2 and I could never find shoes. After having 3 boys my feet are now 7 (yes, that does happen unfortunately) and now all the shoes are in 5 1/2 and never in 7. Sigh.

wow am surprised to see that a size 5 has problems finding shoes as well. I would've never guessed this as a popular size no. I, depending on the brand, style wear a 7 1/2 and they NEVER seem to have that size - especially when there's a sale.

Oh you are so lucky to have such tiny feet! All the best shoes are in tiny feet sizes and shoes always look better for tiny feet. My feet are size 10, and believe me they don't make hardly anything cute in a 10! Although, the good thing is, I can usually buy shoes on clearance because not many people wear this size apparently. If I wore an 11, it would be even worse but even more shoes on the clearance rack.

I have relatively large size feet because of my height, and participation in sports when young. What is more, there is a little difference between the two foot. The same is true with my hands. It is not uncommon.

I have a size 10 feet. It is quite difficult to find shoes because they hardly make shoes of this size.I do not get much choices as the variety is very small for a 10 size shoe.

I have size 8 feet. I dont know what the average rate of feet is among women or men for that matter. I guess if size 5 is average then I have BIG feet :)

I find that there are alot of sales that run out of all the shoes that are in my size as well.I hate it as all the shoes that i look at are either miles too big or way to small.I try to get the shoes as cheap as i can for all of the family, as they are forever needing them, but i never manage to get the really chreap ones as they are never in any of our sizes.

I wear a size 7. I use to wear 7.5 but I guess my feet decided they didn't want to be that size lol. When I was pregnant I had to wear flip flops and after I had to buy a size 8 shoe b/c my feet were so swollen but now they are back to normal. I know some peoples shoe size has gotten bigger b/c of pregnancy and didn't go back to normal. That would suck you had to change all your shoes out.

81/2 extra wide. If I don't get extra wide, I have to replace the shoe in about 3 months, because it will get pulled apart from my feet. Not to worry though, I have a savings account going, I am going to get a pair of shoes MADE for me, so that I don't have to worry any more. Cheers.

Most popular size is 7. This is found everywhere. For size 5, you have to place an order and get it.

I'm a size 6 1/2 and I know what you mean when you find a nice looking shoe in another size and it won't fit. I have experienced that a bit myself. My mom is your size and she sometimes hate shoe shopping because the nice shoes she sees are way to big. Yet she has a closet full of shoes. I think only a few people have that shoe size. It would be nice though for the shoe makers to make shoes in smaller shoe sizes for those people who have smaller feet. That would be nice.
