The vets as well as pet owners prefer to neuter or sterilize their dog at a certain age. What do you prefer or what do you do in your pet's case?

I remember as a kids that we were suppose to neuter our cat at age one. But then now I was told that it could be done much earlier than that. I think if I had to pick an age it would be before they want to mate. Especially if the pet will go outside and have chances of mating. I would not want to do it to an older pet though because I think that would be a bit cruel to do. Not sure though. But I like younger the better.

I do think so because it is tougher to leave something that you have tasted before than not to taste at all.

I was told when they are 10-12 weeks old you can do that. For cats you want to do it before they start to spray. They do that about 5-7 months old.
