My toddler son has spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I got pregnant again so there was a possibility my baby girl might have also had those conditions. I hoped for the best and it was a relief to hear from the fetal medicine unit that she was healthy. She is now six weeks old and is really lovely just like my dear little son. I lost much blood after she was born and I was weak. They told me I might die because I was in such a bad way health wise. I kept fainting and that was because my body at that time didn't have much power. I kept myself happy by thinking of past travel experiences like the Seychelles. I felt so happy to have my baby girl and I wanted to live to see her grow up. I am now back to my healthy usual health I am glad to say.

Wow, what an inspiring story to read from a real people that experienced it. Thank you for sharing. It hard, right? I faced difficulties in life too, and what I did was I do not think about the difficulties that I'm facing, instead, I focus on something else and if that thing makes me hurt, so ignore it totally. It not easy, but at elast I tried. I do not want to be preoccupied with something that is wasteful. There are many other things that i can focus on like in here that in the end could bring me a lot of profit. thank you for sharing

Pray to God. Think of all the great people who were once failures. Like Albert Einstein (a high school kick out), Winston Churchill, Gerald Ford, etc. =))

We have no other options beside to be optimistic, and if not we will fall. It hard, but its not impossible. There must be things that you can be grateful, and why not start form it. Everyday, after I woke up, I thank my God, and list all the things that I'm grateful for and start planning for the day by asking from His help. Always think that there must be shine for every darkness that i went through and remember if you cannot help your own self, who else can? So being optimistic is one of it. Remember you can get through anything if you believe that you can.

I find that music always brightens my day. If my day is crappy I just hop onto my computer and find some nice and happy songs that I like and my mood gets better. I dont take pills or anything, I try to do something that makes me feel better. i line dance so pulling up some country music and dancing in my living room gets me happy and then I laugh at myself for dancing in my living room. Try to find something that makes you happy and use that on your down days.

We need optimism when we are in rough phases. If we live happy life and nothing bothers us we don't need to be neither optimistic nor pessimist. Being optimistic means having hope while you're in trouble, and having hope means much, It's the last thing we have in many situations. But remember that life is forward and everything gonna be alright
