Has Lightspeed Panel turned into a scam?

I have been a member with them for a pretty long time. I recently figured out that only some of the surveys are actually worth taking. Some surveys are 25 minutes long for 75 points, while it takes 525 points to get a 5 dollar pay pal credit. That's less than a dollar! Not worth it to me! But, then again, they will have 30 minute surveys for 500 points, which I think is actually a decent deal.
The first time I requested payment from them it came within a few days. About a week later they sent me a survey via my cell phone, and I texted back, answering all of the questions. The next day I qualified for another survey, and when I was on the last page that said "click submit to complete this survey" it brought me back to the login screen. I contacted Lauren and found out that my cell phone survey was not credited, either.
About 2 weeks later, I finally got a response. Apparently I don't get any points for the cell phone survey. And apparently they can't credit me for that last survey.
I was pretty upset, and ignored Lightspeed for a few weeks. 8 days ago I got an invite for a 500 point survey, so I completed it, and then requested my paypal transfer. I still haven't gotten it. I sent an email to Lauren yesterday asking for help, and I haven't gotten a response yet.
The website says I have been paid, but I haven't! Has anyone else been having problems with lightspeed lately?

I've been with lightspeed for a few years now and i have never had any trouble. i never really thought much into how much i got paid for each survey or paid attention to how long it too me to do the survey. I usually am multitasking for the day while i do surveys so I figure any money/points I get is good. Any time I have requested payment I always got it pretty quickly too. Sorry you are having trouble.

I feel like I have given them so many chances as of lately! I really am just hoping I get my payment soon so I can stop freaking out! I have about 5 surveys waiting for me at Lightspeed right now, and I want to do them, but I wont until I know I am going to get paid by them!

Also, I have recently found a new survey site that has a really low payout, if you are interested. If not, feel free to ignore this comment. I was paid by them today and I was really excited by it. They have a 1 dollar pay out, and some of their surveys are worth much more than a dollar.
Have you used dollarsurveys.net? (that isn't the new site that I have been using, just another one I know about) I have heard that they are great from some people, and other say that they don't pay. I don't know what to believe!

Hey again rebelmel,
I think I have heard of dollarsites/surveys... sorry, but am not exactly sure of the correct name of their site as I write this response, but do think I have heard and read of them before your post. Never did check them out but it's great you got paid by them (and hopefully by paypal). Perhaps I'll look into them, too. Thanks for the thought.
There is also another site I'd like to share with you (and anyone else who sees this comment), hope you and any others can benefit from the site I'm about to mention, because they also pay by p.pal (plus they offer aol credits, mile points, etc. if a person wants), it's called opinionplace.com . A person can login to their site every certain number of days, whether or not qualified for the last survey offer offered. Another thing I do know about them is that whenever one does qualify for and actually complete a survey, they always DO pay. It's thru p.pal, sometimes it takes a few weeks or so, but they DO show us the money! ...*wanting to insert a "friendly smile" here... The amount of their "tokens" vary, sometimes as little as a $, but other times as much as 5 or even a few 2.25 offers.

I've never had a problem getting paid from Lightspeed -- the last time was a month or two ago. However, I do agree that they seem to underpay for surveys at times. I guess as long as people are willing to do the surveys it's not really underpaying, but sometimes you see the number of points and think you're getting more than you really are. Still, in terms of sending me surveys that I can complete and paying me promptly, LS is one of the best survey sites I use. I'll be bitterly disappointed if they turn into a scam.

Hi there, rebelmel...
Really don't know if Lightspeed Panel has turned into a scam, but since I am also a member (been there at least four plus years), I definitely can provide some input to this discussion of yours. Hopefully your problem will be resolved soon (as in like tomorrow your paypal account WILL show payment from them!) or you will hear back soon from the e-mail you sent Lauren about your problems. But come to think of it, I do think I wrote them a time or so in the past, but never got any replies. However there's a site called surveypolice dot com or maybe org or whatever. Have you ever heard of them? If not, you should check it out. (Not even sure when I learned of them), but it's a place where folks can go to not only check out about many survey sites... but also where a person can file a complaint with surveypolice about a certain company and the particular grievance which one has with said site. Then they will look into it and I think they usually find a way to help. Maybe they could be able to do something positive for you.
The main problem I have been having with Lightspeed lately is no surveys, in fact my last one was sometime in the spring. But what can I do, ya know? Maybe they are "cleaning house", since as I mentioned above I have been with them for quite a few years, so oh well no big deal, I guess. Still do look in tho', and I am in their database. Something else tho' I have noticed, since I take surveys from various other companies as well... is you know how a survey often "redirects" from first one site, then to another and another sometimes, as well... I often see kmtr or whatever their main site must be called as the place where another survey is hosted.
While I don't have a cell so have never done any of those surveys from them... I have however a time or two in the past not received paypal payment from them, so I can definitely identify with your problem, since their website said I was paid. Mine never took eight days to appear in my account, but it was several days for the payment to actually show up. And yes I was beginning to wonder. I had received tho' a confirmation e-mail from Lightspeed telling me about my cashed out points. Did you receive one of those? I hope it all works out okay for you. Good luck.
Take care,

As far as i know light speed panel is a well paid survey site. Generelly it paid its members often very quickly as soon as possible. I think there may be a technical problem in case of your payment. one thingyou have to remember is the survey points not only depends on survey length and survey time but also on the company that the survey needed. So dont worry about this. Best of luck.
