Hi all my mylotters, today I just want show & discuss with you guys the Schooling ways that American and Chinese do.You know I am Chinese, but I just want you to make sure that I am not gonna be partial.
Well,I have been educated under Chinese Schooling tradition by my senior high school. You know everything was just fixed by the score you got from all kinds of exams, you got 60,ok,then you pass, you got 100 for one time, you got praised; If you got 100 for many times, then you are named the top 2 or 3 in the school,or something like that. So,for the honor, boys and girls got to work hard everyday,we keep reading, writing, listenning and reciting, while the teachers will keep repeating again and again what topics, what qustions may be taken for the test, and asking us to get well ready for the answer.Well, for more than 12 year being educated like this,as a result, good new was I could be always the top 3,bad new was I got totallly shortsighted and only have to take the glasses.
Then, until I entered the college, and I chose English as my major, and thanks to god,my choice was proved correct just months passed.you know what, the headmaster decided to cooperate with a schooling company from the USA,who will got teaching us for all the 4 years, what's more,we got 5 American teachers in our class, one for listenning course, one for writing, one for oral English and one for interpreting, you know it was just cool!!!!! See how then did in class, the book was just a guide, while they were focusing on practicing and playing. You know we talked everything and did everything in class, you could be a actor,a doctor,a cook,a scientist and whatever you name. And what encouraged most was scoring, you won't see again a 60,80 or 100,insteda,you could get an A,B,C,D or E.You got an A,ok,you did excellent, you got a D or E,ok,it just mean that you got to play harder in class, nothing more.Don't you think this got to be cool!!
So,that's all my stories,how about yours,come on,let's share it!

The education systems of each country is different. Education systems are designed based on policies and education philosophies that each government holds. In western countries, the focus is on openness where students and teachers are free to discuss things. In other countries, students are not allowed to talk but just listen and should ask questions only when told to do so. You see the difference? The way students are educated shows the attitudes of the government and what the government expects from its citizens. These expectations are enclosed in their policies and philosophies.
Thanks for sharing.
