How many names does this girl have?

Yeah, her name given at birth was Destiny Hope Cyrus. She's changed it, through the legal system, to Miley Ray Cyrus now, since that's the name she responds to.

This is an interesting discussion and I am sure that a lot of people are fans of Hannah Montana,and I am a big fan of her,and especially her father Billy Ray Cyrus because he has a lot of hit country songs,and I like watching the show Hannah Montana because it is really funny,and I would have never guessed that Miley is not her real first name because it always seemed to describe her,and she does not look like a Destiny but I am glad that I saw this discussion because if I had not then I probably would have never known her real name,I just wonder why it did not come out sooner to reveal her real first name instead of making it seem like her name was Miley,have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

I heard or read somewhere that "miley" is the way she pronounced smiley (a nickname given by her father, I believe) when she was little and that is what stuck.

I recently wrote an article about Miley Cyrus and her rise to fame. So here goes for you all, her fans. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, November 23rd 1992. Her parents gave her those names because they believed she would an achiever. 'Smiley' was her nickname, then yes the 'S' was dropped. Though she liked singing and dancing, it wasn't until she was 8 she told her dad and started lessons. She did go on to star in two films under the name of Destiny Cyrus. Then she heard about Hannah Montana. She originally auditioned for the best friend part, but was then asked to re-audition for the lead. After submitting another audition she was told she was too small and too young. But, Miley didn't leave it and she got the part. The character was originally named "Chloe Stewart" but it was changed to "Miley Stewart". It smashed the record for biggest audience watching a Disney series premier. She was then the first ever to have music, tv and product contracts with Disney. She filed for the name change on March 18th, 2008. The changed to Miley Ray Cirus was granted and legal as of May 1st, 2008. Ray was taken from her grandfather, not her father as people think. She was born as Destiny Hope Cyrus, but changed for Miley Ray Cyrus. The reason it's because she use to smile too much when she was young, but I think the real reason is she didnt like her name haha

I never knew that her name was Destiny. She doesn't "look" like a Destiny to me though. She really does look like a "Miley".

Her real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus, based on what I have read, her name became Miley because, it was supposed to be Smiley because she loves smiling, then they drop the S, so that makes it Miley Cyrus. So there.
