When did you get your first cell phone or computer?

I've always had a computer more or less since they first became popular. I remember being young and having the old apple computers which every game was that weird floppy disks and it was all I could really do on it. Now I got my first computer which I paid for back in 2004 which I was 15 and it was a Dell and my grandparents got it and I just made monthly payments for it. When I was 14 was when I got a cellphone. It was a basic black and white flip phone and finally when I was 16 I was able to upgrade and get the one I wanted. Its weird though because my sister got her first cellphone at the age of 13 and then had her own computer - no Internet though which was different for me - at the age of 10. Technology is hitting younger and younger.

Hi there! I got my first PC when I was in Kindergarten and I got mt first cell phone when I was in grade 8! I've always loved those things when you get them for the first time! Happy mylotting!

I think I got my first cell phone in about 1994 or 1995. It was apretty big deal at the time. I thought I was hot stuff with my cellphone. It is now so ordinary and I use it for my regular phone as well so it isnt that big of a deal to me anymore.

I got my first mobile phone in the year 2004. My PC I bought in the year 2003 and I was very much thrilled about these purchases. First time purchase give a person some kind of feeling which will not come when buying for a second time. At that time I was studying in college and my family helped me to purchase.. Later when I started earning, I bought a mobile with my own earnings and PC as well. But I wasn't much thrilled when I bought first..

my first computer was when i was in 3rd year HS if i'm not mistaken. I ended up breaking it though which led way to my interest in fixing computers. my first cellphone was when i was in 2nd year college though during that time i never really use that phone. the brand was 'Dancall'. i was just bringing it to school because it looks cool.

firstly i did get my computer before 3 years..and after 1 year i did get my first cell phone...and i feel very happy..when i did get computer..because...it was my dream..that one day..i will have also my own computers...and after that i when i get mobile phone..i was so haapy....

i got my first cellphone on my first year of work. computer.. some more years later.. kids nowadays have access to technology at a very young age. sometimes i envy them,but not always. life was simpler back then, no complications.

well, my first computer and cellphone I bouth my self this since in my teen time, there was no cellphones and the computers was not for home work..only offices and workplaces. This is 20 years ago, and the world travels fast, things are invented faster and faster, hard to keep up with it.

I got my first computer about 3 years ago, maybe a little more. I got my first cell phone about a year, maybe two years before that. I still use a prepaid cell phone, and I am still very careful about the sites that I visit on-line.

I got my first cell phone when I was in 2nd year of college. I used to travel far from home for some classes and would then get back home late.My cell phone was awesome for the time, as most of my friends did not have one and it was a huge privilege for me to have one at the time. I got my first computer in 9th grade.I remember how excited I was to get one and experiment with it. It was a great feeling.

I may be fairly young (21) but I remember when dial-up was like the coolest thing! Now it is considered so primitive that you can even get laughed at for it! I was 12 or 13 when I first started using the computer. I remember my first personal computer was a sony vario whatever was hot back then I don't remember what the model was though. But forget it now! Now I have an Asus PC small enough to fit into my purse. As far as my cell phone is concerned it seemed as though almost everyone I knew had some kind of Motorola model. I did too although I didn't get my first cell phone until I was 17! My cousin got his first cell phone at age 10! Crazy e was using the internet at 9!!

My first computer isn't my own, it's my family's. =P. I guess it doesn't count. But I got my cell when I was thirteen. My aunt gave it to me as a birthday present. =D. It's a Motorolla model and I love it. ~K~

Hi! I started my cellphone day when I was in high school. The first one I got was from a competition I won. It was terrific at that time and I was so excited that I showed off as a silly child. But happy days are always short. Soon, mom took it away the moment she recieved my sucky mark on the paper. So this is not really a good experience. I won myself a fabulous fashion phone, but I just couldn't use it. But thanks to mom, I got admitted to my university. It was a silver phone and I still keep it now. Instead of using it, I preserve it as mom's love.

i got my first cell phone during my fresh year,the money was borrowed from my brother,as i had not enough money. And my first computer will be got in several days for some job that I have to finish it online.

I agree that your words "we cant live without them". These gagdets now should be primary needs for us. I get my first cell phone when i still at Junior high school, I forgot what series, just i renembered that was nokia phone. About computer, I got it when I was Senior High school and it was Compaq Presario. Until Now Im still used that computer. But about cellphone, now was changing to N81.

i got my first cell phones about 8 years ago, during my college time. then a year later, i got my first desktop computer, it was a intel pentium 1 computer. now, both the cell phone and computer no longer usable. i replaced my cell phone last year from a nokia to a sony ericsson, from desktop computer to a laptop computer with a duo core processor.

hello to you I get my first computer in my sister she buy me a computer. when i was in college my dream is to buy a computer but i have no money to buy a computer i tell my problem to my sister that's i like to buy a computer she promise me that she buy a computer for me after 6 year a long wait is over my sister buy me a computer and I'm so very thanks full to my sister because she buy me a computer this is my dream to buy a computer I'm very appreciate the love of my sister for me. imagine after 6 year before my dream coming true' and my cellphone is came from my own allowance everyday i save 100 pesos of my allowance after 3 month i reach 3000 pesos i buy my dream cellphone and I'm so very happy because i have a computer and cellphone... happy mylotting to you!!

hi txgrl21, i got my first cell phone when I was in my third year of college, in 2004. I was 20 that time. I got nokia 6610. When I got it for the first time I was very excited but now personally I do not like mobile phones that much. Okay they can connect you to people very quickly but they inturn take your privacy which I do not like sometimes. I got my first computer a year before that. It was a pentium 4 having windows 98 as the operating system. I still have that PC and it is still working. But I rarely use it now as I got a laptop in 2006.

I got my cell at 7Years old.
