I have heard Linux is very easy, but never tried. Since very beginning I have been using Windows, I am afraid adoption of new systems may lead to slowing down of work. But I want to learn Linux. PC books are very costly. Downloading is also a costly affair in developing countries.

for proffesionals n research ppl, scientists...linux would be the best ...for the lay men windows would do...linux is a powerful os...but linux is can be easily obtained at a low cost ...hereas windows is expensive...at home i use windows..for the projests n stuff n use linux kde...

Windows is a very good one for all people who want to use computer for daily activities as it is very user friendly. Linux or Solaris is good as server as they have good amount of security.

Windows is my preference, but i hear nothing but good things about Linux.

I prefer Windows because it`s user friendly and for Linux I have to study books before I use it.
