Something is going on

Yesterday i got real upset when i logged on to my paypal account. LAst week around tuesday or wednesday I checked my paypal. It was right at fourty nine dollars and some odd change. This is money i worked hard to earn online and was saving for christmas. I mainly earned it through surveys.
Well i logged on yesterday and it was down to fourty three dollars and some odd change. I never use my paypal. So there shouldn't have been no money missing. I had just done a survey but haven't recieved payment yet.
I checked all over my history. There hasn't been any withdrawels from the account.
Does paypal have a fee that I am unaware of?
Can someone enlighten me? I know its only six dollars but when i earn three dollars per survey and spend thirty minutes doing them that upsets me.

The few sites that did charge me a fee when they transfered the money to my paypal account did so before the transfer and also gave a notification saying x% will be deducted as fee.
I have not faced this issue yet.I am concerned too now.Hmm.
I have a question for you. Have you added up all the credits/deposits to your paypal account to see what the total is?
Just try doing that.May be that will bring some clarity.

Paypal do charge a fee to the receiver of the funds but the charge is applied at the point of transaction not after a certain period of time so the missing $6 will not have been paypal taking it from you in fee's.
Possible reasons for your $6 going missing------
1- Someone who has access to your account has used it to buy something with at some point which will show in your purchase history if this has happened
2- you were mistaken when you looked the last time and mistook the $43 for $49
3- something did come to my mind but now it's gone again so if i remember what it was i will post it for you lol.

I hope you get this figured out soon. Good luck with attempting to talk to a live body via PayPal.
I was checking my account all week since I was on vacation and my account is fine.

I am so sorry Jessi....but I am not aware of a FEE by Paypal...I, with you, thought the most secure and honest system! I with a lot of your friends will wait with baited breathe to find out what/how things could go amiss like this! And yes, 6 dollars is a huge amount. I truly am sorry, this is scary...please if you can find time, keep us informed. Thank you, so sorry..but Cheers!
