In the microwave oven, in an electric or gas oven, over the range? Why?
I do some dishes on the range of course. And the rest is done in a small electric oven I have where I don´t have to bend to put the food to bake. I use the microwave ove only for it´s clock with big numbers and my grandchildren use it for just about everything. I think that food flavour is better done in the traditional way. How about you?

I love to cook on the stove, but now that I have a little boy, I just don't have the time. Now I use the microwave. I really love the ziplock steamer bags. I love to cook my meat in the microwave in half the time, without having to worry about turning the meat, burning the meat, or having a little boy trying to get up on the stove.

U know i feel the very same way u do. Nothing tastes better than food cooked from scratch, the old fashion way. Microwaves are nice, use it for warming up leftovers, melting buter for a recipe & EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE I'LL COOK A POTATO IN IT. I to use a taoster oven quite abit.

I do most of my cooking on cooktop of the oven. I like being able to manage the ingredients up on top where I can see everything. I also use the oven a couple of times a week to bake things like baked chicken. I usually just use the microwave for heating stuff up or cooking things that are package to be cooked in the microwave. I have one thing that I cook in the microwave and I use special cookware to do that. I learned how to make it at a Tupperware party and it is really good.

I cook like you in the top of the oven but do a lot of baked food. I live alone and I have a small electric oven (it´s placed in a place where I don´t have to bend). I can make a whole chicken there, a lasagna, a roast beef, almost anything.

I cook over the range, this is what's available on my kitchen. I only use microwave oven to heat food from the fridge. I was able to cook the traditional way using wood and the food was great. There was this distinctive aroma and taste when you cooked traditionally and I am not just sure what it is. :)

I feel the same way. I suppose that it is in part because cooking the traditional way you don´t add the ingradients all at one time. And you can smell and taste so you know if it need more of a special ingredient.

i prefer gas stove.it's quicker and easier. it's also less expensive than the other medium of cooking. i find it more convenient to use the gas stove.most of my relatives and friends have gas stoves at home. i don't know anyone who use the old electric stove. aside from the electric expenses it's quite dangerous too.

Depending on what I am cooking, each has it's value. However, overall I would have to say gas stove. You have more control of the temperature, you can watch the flame, see if thing are cooking evenly. I am very visual so I have to see it.

The microwave is only used to heat up food not to cook with for me. I like to use my gas oven for cooking. Its healthy and easier, however I do use the top of the stove for dishes like sauce with pasta and chili. I love to cook more in the winter then the summer though because putting the oven on in the summer makes my home to hot at times.

Hi marguicha...and you know I have one of those little electric ovens and I just love using it.
I just recently got a new one that I can do alot more with and I have been cooking up a storm. When it is just my husband and I that is just perfect for making supper and yes like to said you don't even have to bend over..lol.
Ahhhhh such luxuries we have.
I can't remember the last time I lit my big oven for anything. Probably at holiday time when all the kids were coming to visit. I definitely hve to use the big oven then to make a ham or turkey big enough for everyone.
It is nice to for quick pizza fixes for our grandaughter that is living with us.
Happy cooking!!!!

I am as traditional as thou art. The cooking gadgets have become digital too. But when it comes to cooking taste, I still prefer that the procedure be done the old fashion manner. So, I agree with you. The taste matters. Flavor comes to liking the traditional way.

I love to cook on the old wood fueled stove. Food tastes much better. But since I moved to an apartment that type of a stove isnt possible. When I go back to my home in village, it is a delight to have food cooked on it. Sounds like 18 century??? Hi hi we have some traditional fish recipes which can only be cooked on that stove...The fish being marinated and wrapped in a banana leaf and tied before throwing into the fire...It tastes yum...
Here I mostly cook on gas stove and microwave, our cooking range's glass on top broke and no one here seems to know how to repair it. It was bought from abroad. Non veg tastes better if I cook it in microwave with the utensil's lid closed...for veggies, soups and all I prefer stove.

I like to cook best in a slow cooker/crockpot. I am a stay at hom mom with 3 kids. It's much easier to get evrything in the crockpot before the kids get up. I just set it on low, and it's ready by the time my husand gets home from work. I bought a slow cooker cookbook. I love it.

On an oven...whether it's a conventional oven or a small camp-oven. I've always wanted to cook/bake in a clay oven or over an open fire.
I just really dislike the microwave. xD

Hello,
In the summer I like to have as many cookout as I can or use the grill, but we dont have a gas one so it cost a lot of money to keep buying, so that can be a pain , ya know!Usually , though I do more cooking in the oven (bake) Then cook on the burners.I suppose you could say I do a mix of everything when it comes to cooking.

I prefer cooking in the gas oven. I only use the microwave oven to heat up food. Microwave oven does cook as well as traditional gas ovens. The food taste different and looks "uncook" an unattractive.

Normally I like to cook on the gas oven. I cook Indian food most of the time and Indian food can be cooked best on the gas oven. Also I think that the taste of the food comes out best when it is cooked on the gas oven. I have tried electric also but it was little difficult for me to manage so I changed back to gas oven. I use microwave only when I have to heat some frozen pizza or something.

I prefer to cook in the electric stove. Becos it gives a pleasure to simplify the cooking process. And it is easy for cooking timings and it is a time consuming process. It is a simple and easy process

I do most of my cooking the traditional way - on the stove and in the oven. But I have a toaster oven that does just about everything the regular oven does, just on a smaller scale and I use that as well. I am not too fond of microwaved foods - I find they cook unevenly and proteins like fish come out with a very strange rubbery texture. It is ok for reheating though.
