Hi fellow myLotters, just want to share my excitement in officialy entering the "22" zone today. These days my life is so occupied by office work (so sorry if I haven't commented in discussion I opened) and rarely have time to hang out with my friends and family. But I am pretty sure it's all worth it to my future success. Sacrifice must be done to get something, and I hope I will have great years ahead. Tonight I will celebrate with my family with treating them dinner in a quite fancy restaurant. What do you do in your birthday my fellow myLotters? How do you feel about your life in your age right now? Passionate or easing down? Happy myLotting!

Hi sophisticated _boy, Heres Wishing You A Very Happy Birthday, May all your wishes come true ...It is great to be celebrating with the entire mylot family. My own birthday is mostly a non event lol. I am happy with the way my life is now and do not really bother too much about things like birthdays. It will happen with you in the later stages of your life. I am more concerned about giving a good time to my children on their birthdays...all the best

Hi kiran, thanks for the wishes! Same as you, I think many of my birthday celebrated in a very usual way, usually only buying cake and blowing candles with my family. Rare it is celebrated by held a birthday bash, usually girls are celebrating 17th bday and boys 21st birthday with a party. but not mine.

Well happy birthday to you! I hope you and your family have a great time at dinner tonight. My birthday was sort of recent, too. It was just a like three weeks ago. I turned 19. I didn't make any very exciting plans. I went to dinner with four girlfriends. Not to a fancy restaurant, though, just Panera. Then two of them had to leave, but then the remaining three of us went out for pie. I made it home pretty early but I didn't bother to call anyone else to go back out.

Thanks anna. It was superb dinner at a restaurant beside my office. Food is great, it offers local food with fine dining concept. Since start working last year, I have an obligation to treat my friends as they do the same thing when they have their birthday. Still having a long list of friends I have to treat, from uni, high school and church..still trying to find out when is the right time to do it

Happy Birthday to you, dear buddy.. hope that your coming years will be filled with success, happiness and great health, together with your love ones.
I don't really mind not celebrating my birthday; as long as I get a wish from my immediate family members; it's the thought that counts and I'm exceptionally happy just to hear them wishing me. But the idea of dining out on a birthday occasion is very cool indeed.

hii sophisticated -boy..first of alll a very happy birthday to you...enjoy the day with your family and have a blast...
coming to the discussion...i think birthday is a very special day..and on this day i go for lunch with my friends...when i turned 18 i wanted to do something special on that day...so i donated blood..and since then i have been a regular donor...and i felt so light and happy after doing such a thing...

Ahhh...that is one of the most generous thing to do on birthday. I've never done a charity job in my birthday, but I might be in the future. Some of my friends alsoo donate money or clothes or going to orphanage to donate money for them. Thanks for the response balki!

I have just turned 44 years of age as of wedsay this past week. I spent my day traveling to my gf house and introduced them to my family for the first time. we went out and had a great dinner and they went home latter in the eving. for me a birthday is a good time to pause and reflect on your past live, espicaly when you are now much older now than you were them. there is this feeling where you ask yourself "what have a accomplised with my life."

I think as we become older, we become aware of the past and try to live our life better than before. You are twice my age, I am sure there are a lot of precious moments happened to your life, either good or bad one. My father is also just having his 70th birthday in August 1, (a huge gap between me and my father, he married when he was 37 and got me when he was 48 yo), so it's a double celebration in our family. How great you spent your 44th birthday, full of joy and love. Hope we all have great years ahead. Cheers!

First of all, happy birthday to you!
I'm one year younger than you, and I just have my 21th birthday not to long ago. In our country, there is a convention that people eat noodles at their birthday. Because noodles are in a shape that is long and thin, we consider noodles as a symbol of longevity.
Health, family and friends are more important than work. so, take care of youself and the people you love. Wish you a happy life!

Hey, I guess you're from China right? I think your tradition affected my country, Indonesia, since theat tradition also start to grow among people having their birthday. Although I don't have Chinese blood, I will order noodles when I treat my friends as it is a symbol of fortune and health. Thanks for the wishes!

Nice happy birthday too you, my birthday is coming soon too, I hope somthing fun will happen, but usually I just have a cake and hang out with family but hopfully this time somthing more exiting will happen, but I wont hold my breath lol and as for my life its not exactly where i'd like it to be, but someday it will be.

Wow, still 18, are you still in high school? I know how it feels to become 18 and not become a kid anymore but become an adult. I used to be the youngest kid in high school, uni, or office. I graduated high school when I was 16, now I am 22 and still of the youngest employee in my office. Though it needs some adaptation to perceive myself as an adult, it also feels great to be independent. Thanks for the greetings diamania, have a great day!

Happy birthday to you! Feels good to be 22, doesn't it? I too am going to turn 23 real soon and it is just a great feeling to grow old with wisdom (hopefully?) LOL. Anyways, I am having the best time of my life with my age since I feel like I hold responsibility for my own life and career, and though it may appear scary for some people, I like it because it helps me to become independent and it teaches me the essence of hard work. In the end, once you get your reward, it is such a fulfilling feeling!

Hmm, I dunno if this is good or not because last Sunday, I become a mentor in my high school event to the 12th grader and suddenly I feel so old among all the teens 
I hope I become wiser though, I think wisdom came along our age right? Right now I become financially independent and learn how to manage my life properly. i always apply work-life balance, hope you also can apply that i your life..Thanks for the response!

Hey hey, young man I'm a little bit older than you, I will turn into my 27 in this October. I used to celebrate my birthday with my friends/classmates in my studying ages (in university, high schools), after graduated, I live with my honey, so I only celebrate with her, and to be honest, I do the celebration in this way with the one you love. anyway, happy 22

Thanks croamer. Yes, I will also celebrate it with my uni and high school friends next week. It's so hard to gather them all in one day since everyone has their own activitie, much easier back when we were studying. When my friends having birthday after uni, never once we gather on a complete team.

Unfortunately msfransisco, it is my stressful birthday ever. I think cause the excitement I am doing minor mistakes in my work and also I'm having deadline which must be done in Monday. So that Friday, I went home at 7 to go to dinner with my family and have to finish my job in hurry on Monday :( But it is still a great day and superb dinner with my family :) Thanks for the response!

On my birthday, since I'm older now, I sometimes just have a nice dinner with my family, and sometimes, my friends throw me a party. Just for fun, and for laughs. But birthhdays are really special and you should try to enjoy as much as possible.
