Fitzerald was an important 1920s figure, and his books like "The Great Gatsby" were set in the Roaring Twenties, as it is called, as well. It was a time known for prohibition, economic prosperity, the charleston, joy that the war was over, flappers, speak-easies, boot legging, and gangsters. Many people remember the 1920s for the style, which was very different from the pre-war fashions. So what do you think of 1920s styles? I think they are really intersting and fun. A party or dance that was 1920s themed would probably be a lot of fun. What do you think?

Fitzgerald is an outstanding writer and "The Great Gatsby" is an amazing book, with a truly relevant message behind it. I can't wait for the new film! Most aspects of the 1920s were better than what we have today: their music, the extravagant champagne-drenched parties, the clothes... I could go on forever!
