I have boxes of books to give, these are new in the last 6 months, I can give them to the library which is run by a contractor or I can give them to the Senior Center which is nonprofit. I am sure the money that the sale of these books brings can be used by both parties. Which do you think I should choose and why?

I would be inclined to divide the box between the two places or if that was not practical I would go for the seniors centre because there is more chance the library will be funded for more books whereas the seniors centre may not have books at the top of their list of priorities. It is a very kind thing for you to do!

They are both great choices but if it were me, I'd give them to the senior center. They may even let the seniors have them to read. I bet they would enjoy them.

I'm sure both places would be put to good use and many deserving people would enjoy them. Why not divide the boxes up between the two places so more people can enjoy them?

Hi pat! I really don't know! They are both great places! I think that you should give them to the place where you feel they will do the most good! It would depend on how it works in your area! Here in our area the library sells them for a low price and I don't know what they use the money for! I would donate them where you think the money would go for the best cause! Either way it is very nice of you!

I would pick the Senior Center if I were you. Senior Center needs it more than the library I beleive.

I think you should split them up and give to both. The library can all ways use new books. And the Seniors would love to read a new book.

Hi, Pat! Both need funding, but the senior center probably needs it more. There are so many needs there, and libraries can find grants more easily to supplement public funding. What a lovely thing you're doing!

I think if you're torn between the two, you could give them out to both of them. Why not? Divy them up into two different groups: some to go to the library, and others to go to the nonprofit Senior Center. If they're both good places with good causes, why not? And good for you, by the way, for being so generous with your books. A lot of poeple would choose to sell them for their own benefit. But not you! So kudos!
