I wanted to go to Tokyo with my best friend for his birthday.
He is turning 19 and I'm 18 so we're teenagers I guess you could say.
This is both our first time going to Tokyo, never been there before.
Where would be the best district to stay in, we want to party, shop and eat Japanese cuisine.
I was thinking of Shinjuku because I heard it's a good general place for first time visits.
Shibuya, roppongi, harajuku? What do you guys think?

Well, I had gone to Tokyo before, and I will say that for youngsters, Shibuya may be a good district to stay at as it's a shopping and dining district for youngsters. In addition, Harajuku (which is another popular shopping district for youngsters) is also nearby.
As for Shinjuku, it's also another good place to consider to stay in general. Well, I guess it's best for you to do the research for hotels at these few districts before deciding. There are lots of information available on the Internet on accommodations at these districts.

Me and my friends went Shibuya and Shinjuku already. all i can say is all those places are very famous and wonderful. Shinjuku and Shibuya are the places in Japan where you can find advance fashions, see many different kinds of person, most of all you can see their the so called Yakusa people. you can find everything you want their, nightlife, shopping and most of all dining. Enjoy your stay their. ganbatte kudasai!
