Thanks for your response. I am happy to note that there are other people like me who are bothered about the way water sometimes gets wasted. I make it a point to turn off all the open taps, anywhere. Be it a public place or home. I even do it at friends' places. LOL

Water being the most important living needs of all,why we as good humans and better humans complete our duty to save water for the survival of our future and present generation, its doesn't take much time to solve the plumbing problems and leeks of water must be stopped as soon as possible.

I do things like turning off water taps and switching off lights or fans if they are not required regardless of the fact that I am at home or in a public place. We should save water and electricity. I won't let the water keep running while brushing and will get upset if I see somebody doing that.

Hey Daliaj,
Thanks for your response. Wow! Now thats a very nice habit. I do feel electricity is a very crucial component of our daily lives. We must save electricity and water. Sure. I also do this at many places. Sometimes, I can't help but keep my hands to myself but otherwise I do make it a point to switch off fans/lights wherever they are not required.

not at all, from begining onwards i used to watch cartoons and cartoonish adds giving us information especially to kids that we must not keep the taps open while brushing. the add also said not to waste water as drinking water is decreasing at a high rate.
also water bills were controlled by doing this.

Hi coolcat,
Thats very nice of you. People like you must ensure that atleast all taps in your surrounding areas are properly turned off. I always do this. I have become more obseesive nowadays as I have to buy water!

Hello,
Never, Never I have left a water tap dripping
The sound of water drops dripping is very
annoying. Also water is so precious natural resource
which we cannot affor to lost or waste.
Even if I am outside or in somebody's house
thr dripping tap makes me go and stop it.
Also have you heard wasting water is equivalendt to
wasteing money?
Happy mylotting

Thanks for your response. :)
Yeah, it is a nice practice to be aware about this wherever you go. You must keep in mind the fact that we are responsible for all our actions. As soon as we step out we tend to let go and relax the rules that we generally follow. This is a bad practice. We, as citizens must be more aware.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes, water is precious. Many people do not take this seriously. They simply turn on the tap and happily wash, rinse their hands while the water flows away merrily into the drain. We waste so much of water every day. I feel its a criminal waste of good, precious water. I come from a country where water is not a luxury anymore. We sometimes buy potable water. Under these circumstances, it is almost painful to see people waste water when others pay through their nose to buy it.
Thanks for your response. I appreciate your attitude too. :)

I work in childcare and I am forever turning off the taps. Like you I do not like to see water been wasted. When outside and about I will also turn off any tap I see running or dripping. I do get some funny looks when I do this but I don't care. I would rather save water then wast water. When I'm brushing my teeth I do not leave the water running. I also do not leave the water running when I wash my hands.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I can understand the "funny" looks because people have termed me crazy after I went around turning off taps in my previous office. I used to hate it when my colleagues would turn on the taps and start yakking. Once, I could not control my ire and gave my friend a good piece of my mind. After that people became slightly aware of their habits and started closing the taps after use. And also, I would tell them to use the taps only when they had to wash and not while they were rinsing! Heehe. Guess I took it too far. But then I had to get it out and make people aware that we should not waste such a precious resource.
Happy mylotting. :)

hey!i come from a town where water scarcity is a major problem throughout the year.Like you,i too would turn the taps off if there is some water flowing down unnecessarily.I even see it a criminal waste to allow leaking water. For we have less resources of pure water and we should not waste it at all.
