Friends and family are important in our life.
Well for me its Family anytime. But it does not imply that i don't care for my friends. They are important for me.
But between family and friends its my family because today what i am is only because of them. Each and everything i have is given to me by them. I owe so much to them.
So, I believe that family is the biggest support for me and more important.
What about you, Family or Friends ???

Always family but then I don't really have many friends. My family have always been there for me through the hard times of being bullied and my "friends" being weird with me. So I would like to say that I would always put them before my friends. An exeption being for my boyfriend though who is really part of our family even though we are not actually related.

For me it will always be my family that comes first I am not saying I don't care for my friends but as I have my own family they and other close members of my family will always come first with me.
As they are the ones who are usually there for me first when I have needed help in the past.
Don't get me wrong I also value my friends help as well.

Thats easy. My family will and always comes first. They are the most important people in my life and if it wouldn't be for them I wouldn't be here.

Well to me my family have top priority, and my friends are family as well, but I ask myself if a memeber of my family is in danger and one of my friend is in the same situation what would I do? I think this is a good discussion to start later on.
[Who would you rescue first? your family member or your friend?]

It is my family that comes first. I do care for my friends but family does have to come first. You are right what we are does come from our families but some of what people become does come from there friends. But that does not mean that family should not come first.

Family. Friends are for a while, but family is forever. You can move out to anywhere and forget your friends, and vice versa. But you can't forget your family. It's in our blood, dear. The same blood ran in our family members. Friend can disappeared, even a very close friend.

I love my family and friends both. But my family is my top priority. I would do anything for my family and I am always here for them. The same goes for friends too though I'd help them in anyway they need help and I'm always here when they need me. But my family is more important to me because family will always be there for you (if they are a good family).

Definitely family. Friends can come and go but family will always be there for the rest of your lives. Especially that family that my husband and I started, this is my family and I will prioritize it. After God, my family is next in line and everything I do is for God and my family.

When i was still a teenager, my friends will always come first. My friends are the most important people in my life then. But as days goes by, I have learned to value my family. I was awaken to the fact that friends will leave you but family will stick to you no matter what situation you are in. I guess, it is part of growing up, when we are trying to identify ourselves, we tend to be with our friends than with our family but as we grow older, we learn to appreciate our family.

I would absolutely choose my family. Because when everything will be gone including friends, it's my family that I'm surely count on. Many times in my life's experiences they'd proved it, so I would not bargain my family for anything. It's my family who showed me so much love and support than my friends. And they love me so much, so I would do the same.
But I've also I've known some people who were came from dysfunctional family. They prefer to love and risk their lives for their friends than their family.

For me, it has always been my family. I have seen many many friends come and go, lying to me or betraying me in many ways, and I have not found a single friend that has not done that to me. While my family on the other hand, supports me, doesn't lie to me, they are honest even if it hurts, and I trust them more than anyone. I would choose my family over my friends any day.

Hi suj123,
Family for sure,I believe in the saying friends will come and go family is forever, there are some people that have really close friends that feel like family, but in my case hands down my family comes first.I have a friend or two that I truly value their friendship but not so much that I would pick them over my family

Family is the basic unit in our society and to me the most important. But I do know some people who prioritize their friends more than their own families. Maybe it's because they have a bad family ties or bad family upbringing not enough family support etc. I do feel sorry for them. I suppose everyone must make it a point that when they are starting their own family to be sure that they are ready emotionaly and physically as to build a family based on a strong foundation of love and nurturing.

my family comes first before my friends or any other person for that matter because my family takes responsibilities of my well being, my actions and even my general behavior, my family will be the first to be contacted on any issue so my family takes the priority stage in my life

For me family always comes first. There are so many reasons for this. The first is that your family is always going to be there for you no matter what when some friends will drop you at the first sign of trouble. The second reason is that with your family there is a lot of history where friends come into your life at different points and there may not be as much of a history as there is with your family. Third for me is that the majority of my family would give the clothes off of their back for another member of the family while I don't know any friend that would go quite that far.

Hello everyone. Well, I agree with Suj completely. Family creates an emotional bond between it's members thereby connecting and holding them in a very strong way. As a result, if anything happens to any of it's members, whether big or small it can be easily and effectively dealt with. Thus, the bond strengthens in course of time too.
In case of friends, first of all it is very difficult in getting a nice and faithful friend. Even if we get one, there will be limitations in getting help from him/her.
In my case, my family comes first and foremost.
