Hi,
What would you prefer? an internet connection with a limited usage but with a high speed or an internet connection with unlimited usage but with a slow speed? Earlier I used to have high speed internet connection of 2mbps but it's usage was limited to 60 hours a month and now I have switched to slow speed internet connection of 256kbps with unlimited usage. Both of them nearly cost the same. An high speed internet connection with unlimited usage is very costly here. If given a choice what would you prefer? Limited one with high speed or unlimited with slow speed if both of them cost the same.

Well this is a good question. I would rather have speed. I need to browse sites faster and actually do not care much for the usage. :)

So speed matters to you the most. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I would always go for unlimited connection no matter if the speed is slow. Unlimited connection with high speed is of course quite expensive but I believe there’s no point in having limited connectivity, no matter what the speed is. If I had limited connectivity, I could never browse or work or play games freely. I would forever look at the hours left and tell my hubby and son to do the same too! It would take away half the fun of having an internet connection at home. And then if the time limit got over (which happens in most cases) I would have to go for top-ups and other schemes…so I will end up paying more at the end of the month

I too used to hate to keep a watch on the usage of my internet when I had a limited connection so I shifted to a unlimited one though it is slow. But now I do not have to bother about how many hours I have used it and how much data I have downloaded.

This is a good question. We used to have unlimited internet with slow speed. My husband got the connection thinking it will work fine. I couldn't take it.I had very fast internet in office and very slow at home. Later, we changed the plan to unlimited internet with high speed.

Yes it becomes difficult to adjust to a slow speed if one is used to a high speed connection. I had a fast connection earlier and when I shifted to a slow one, it became little difficult to get used to the slow speed. But now I have become used to it.

I don't know what should i do because i have those two kind of internet plan. But if i may answer specifically, i'll say that i prefer to choose limited connection with high speed because i don't like to wasting alot of time for loading a web page. Especially if i want to download something, and if the file is a big file, then an unlimited with slow speed can't help. But limited internet with high speed, which also known as volume based internet is expensive. But price does pay. So i think although it's expensive but it's worth my time and money, because time is money. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

It becomes really boring and frustrating to see the pages load slowly on a slow connection and it also takes lot of time. So for people who value time more than money for them a internet connection with limited usage with high speed is definitely preferable.

I would prefer unlimited internet connection with slow speed. The speed of 2mbps is not necessary for doing simple browsing. Moreover I don't play browser games or watch online videos or movies. Also most of the slow speed connection with unlimited usage has low cost.256kbps speed is enough for small size download and also will be cheap.

Yes if one does not download big files and watch online videos then there is not much need of an high speed connection. He can do with a 256 kbps speed.

well this is a decision that depends on the usage of the user. i mean if you don't download a lot then there is not a reason for you to go for a unlimited usage package. and if you download a lot then don't ever go for the high speed limited download packages because you may exceed the limit and extra MBs cost a hell lot.

Yes in the end it depends on a individuals choice. If one wants to download a lot then unlimited connection with high speed is anytime preferable if he can afford it.

aditya_k85,
If your house has other members accessing the net and sharing the connection, then I think it will only be wise to have a high speed unlimited access plan.
Though, it might be seemingly more expensive than one that is limited, I just feel that with shared connection you will never know when your connection will hit the limit and be charged according to the excess access. Also, there is no physical counter device to monitor your usage other than your providers access statements. So, in this sense a unlimited access is always the better option.
Cost may be an issue but in the long run, it is still worth the hassles and knacks of excess access. If other members can chip in and defray the cost then why not have the costlier and worry free option?
Have a nice day.

Lucky you which have unlimited usage with 256 kbps. I am only have 153 kbps for unlimited usage from my internet provider.
In the afternoon the speed goes slowly because i have dial up connection. But, i think this one is enough for me because the price is so cheap, i only need to choose what's time to go online..
happy myLot.

Unlimited connection with slow speed at cheap rates or even at the same rates as high speed connection with limited usage is more preferable in most cases.

So far I use dsl connection with an unlimited usage. It is at 384 kbps but there has been a problem with my service provider recently due to damage to network cables in the asia pacific. The speed dropped to only 256 kbps. I'm quite satisfied with this connection anyway.

Yes 256 kbps is also not that bad. It is sufficient if one does not download big files.

Hey,
Well we have high speed with limited usage, and I don't really like it. I would much rather we have a slightly slower speed that would be unlimited. Because most websites don't even need much faster than 256kbps anyway, that is all I use it for. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
