From what I've heard, this movie has gone both ways on the rating system. Some people think it turned out horrible and others think it was a great movie. Well I saw this movie over the weekend and I actually thought it was really really good. I love movies that seem realistic and I liked how it was filmed. But I want to hear everyone elses opinions of this movie! Did you like it? Why or why not?

I enjoyed it too :) Great graphics, the aliens were very cool :) And I absolutly fell in love with the baby alien! I don't remember if it ever said the baby's name in the movie--I know the dad is Christopher Johnson (lol).

Yeah!! :D When he first gets on the screen when they are looking threw the garbage I was like, "AWWWW." lol.
When he was hiding behind the wiring in the crashed little ship I thought he was the cutest little thing, aww. lol

I really want to see it but my parents said it was awful. I think they didn't like it because its gory and gruesome, so they said, and they said it was upsetting and that none of the characters were likable. I am waiting for it to come out on dvd before I watch it and make up my own mind. I seldom go to the movies anymore, too expensive, but I will make a point to get District 9 as soon as it comes out on dvd.

I will say it was a bit on the gory side. I mean not horribly gory but alot of blood splatters that I felt didn't need to be there. But as for the characters, it was hard to find a character you really could like. But in a way that is one of the reasons I liked it so much. The characters were less hollywood fiction and more realism and I was able to relate to it better myself.
