So what do you think of Tarantino's latest movie Inglorious Basterds? I haven't chance to see it yet but I will when it comes to a local cinema. I've heard it's pretty good

I thought it was GREAT! Easily one of the best movies I've seen in 2009 (along with "The Hangover"). Note that I am a history teacher, and that this movie has no historical benefit for anyone involved. In fact, it seemed to me as I watched it that it were a clever fanfiction story of what someone would have written as they sat there watching "Band of Brothers" and deciding what they would have liked to happen. That being said, it's a Tarantino movie, so I enjoyed it, and I thought it was one of his better ones in a long time. It's got incredible production value, it kept me on the edge of my seat, and it was actually a little light in the violence/gore (at least in terms of Tarantino and his usual standards). It's funny in spots where you wouldn't expect yourself to laugh, thought-provoking, and the story carries itself even without the star power and guest stars (look for a certain "International Man of Mystery" and an old favorite of Tarantino narrating the movie). All in all, one of the best I've seen, no question, in 2009.

I have to agree, this will certainly remian one of the most memorable movies I have seen in a long time. The character development was spectacular, the story line was intricate yet not too difficult to follow, and the mix of emotions evoked succeeded in keeping my eyes riveted to the screen. I encourage everyone to see it, you won't be sorry.

I also have not seen this film. But i'm going soon to see it :) . My brother has seen the film and loved it. The storyline seems so simple, and yet so brilliant. A group of Americans hunting down and killing Nazi's.......its ace.

I am very much looking forward to seeing this film. When you put an excellent actor like Brad Pitt (Curious Case of Benjamin Button should have won best movie) and add Quentin Tarantino whose Kill Bill, Dusk to Dawn and Pulp Fiction were just extraordinary film making together, what can you expect but great movie entertainment.

I have not seen it yet, but am willing to watch it when it comes out on DVD...not sure it would be worth the movie theatre prices seeing as the genre doesnt really appeal to me always.

Actually, I just finished watching it now, in glorious (no pun intended there) blu-ray vision. I thoroughly enjoyed it, then again I am a big fan of Tarantino's work in general. I loved the style of it, the superb acting, the high-octane action and the ingenius script. I also enjoyed how the film never took itself too seriously. I know for many this period of time is no laughing matter though, and respect that. My favourite part was the plot. For such a re-hashed and over-used period of history, it brought something new to the table. And, was I the ONLY one who didn't see that ending coming?

Inglourious Basterds - Inglourious Basterds, starring Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger and Eli Roth
Inglourious Basterds is a damn good movie to watch, as the writer and director of the movie Quentin Tarantino as done well with the movie. Brad Pitt has also done an excellent job in the movie, this is one of the must watch movies, if you haven't seen it you have to watch it ...
