Is wearing glasses fashionable?

I wear glasses because I need them. True, I get frames that I like, but I need them to be able to drive as I can't see far away and road signs are just a little too blurry to be safe. I can read things without them but it is blurry and hard, so I just wear them all the time. I tried the contact thing, but they made me eyes really dry and painful, plus they are a big hassle to me. So, I have become used to glasses. They can be fashionable but I just like to see the world clearly. Its beautiful and I want to see it that way.

I think no one really want to wear glasses but they have to, and I think wearing glasses making me look like a fool...I feel quite uncomfortable with the glasses all day long,I hate them,but I have to wear them. Doctor told me using the contact lenses will do much harm to my eyes, and I'm a lazy man, wearing contact lenses is out of my style.I think sometimes a pair of glasses will let some MM look more pretty,but not everyone. beeduzhe

Well, to me, it depends. Are you talking about the sunglasses? If so, i have to say, yes, this is still a fashion to me. If you are talking about the short sign glasses, i will say, no, it is not a fashion any more. Actually, some of my friend even go to the eye's hospital just to get rid of wearing glasses.

Some people prefer wearing contact lenses because they think that wearing glasses make them nerds. I have tried wearing contact lenses, but say to say I was not comfortable wearing one. So I just stick to wearing glasses. I have to contend to what people are saying that one would look old wearing it. There are some fashionable frames to choose from. It is just a matter of doing it the right way.

yes it is fashionable for some. But having to sit before the system for hours, it now looks inevitable that i need to wear a glass shortly, not for fashion but for part blindness hehehehe. Not able to read small letters now a days

If you want to wear glasses,there is no one stopping you!Just because you have glasses doesn't means you can't wear it.My friend wears false eyelashes with his glasses(they almost touch her glasses lol)It just means people will see your eyeshadow more because your eyes are slightly magnified.I think Glasses are cool.They are really fashionable.

Generally i have found, and that includes me,that people don`t like wearing glasses because they think that it makes them feel that they look older and serious. Especially women who prefer contacts over glasses. I too wear glasses only when i am on the computer or sometimes when reading and when watching TV. Otherwise i avoid wearing them. Of course it is fashionable to wear glares and sunglasses and i have seen some people wearing them indoors or even permanently.

In my View, wearing glasses will be the perfect solution for proper eye sight! Contact lenses are very sensitive and need a lot of care! But glasses are of Zero maintenance. Fashionable frames are the buzz now. Light weight frames are preferred by many. So glasses are the best option. And many people adopt it rather than going to lenses or laser surgery.

well. seems that's really very popuplar to wear black wide glasses nowdays and i have no interests to wear any personnally.those girls wear such glassess and pretented to be some cool boy and that really annoyed me already. maybe they think they may look more fashionable under such appearance.

Some people look good wearing glasses. I think it's better for them to wear it instead of contact lenses. It might be annoying to remove it and need cleaning and stuff but I think it's way safer than contact lenses. Some glasses are fashionable but not all fit you. So it's better to make a good decision.

It all depends on the eye of the beholder. I think with the different styles out there yes they can be fshionable. Some people look great in glasses, some look quite sexy and others can look like geaks. I wear glasses only for distance but I have been told I look sexy in them. I don't see it, but everyone sees things differently don't they.

Kev, I am short sighted but I dont wear glasses. I wear contacts. Why? Because if I wear glasses, my toddler boy will try his best to grab it. He just love to see people with glasses and will try to grab it if they were to carry him. Whenever I am at home, I dont even wear my contacts. I go around the house with not so perfect vision, but still tolerable.

trends change from time to time. my eyesight is good so far and i do not require glasses but when it comes to sun-glasses i find them absolute necessity especially when riding a bike. i have seen on television celebrities wearing sunglasses even in evening so i guess it is still in fashion.

wearing glasses nowadays i wud say, depends on the convinience for a person, one who feels uncomfortable wearing glasses, wud go for lenses, some feel lenses make their eyes watery and wud rather opt for glasses.Of course there are ppl who wear glasses which are good looking and make their face beatiful, moreover not everyone looks good in glasses, it suits for certain ppl only.

Sometimes it is, especially sunglasses, i think glasses especially reading glasses makes you look, not older, but more mature which is a good thing.

It needs to be fashionable for me because I need it. Wearing contact lenses are not good for me. Though i wish I could wear them but no. So, let's just say I choose a good frame to match whatever I have to wear and I won't look nerdy and old. hehehe. Happy everyday!

Hi kevchua! I wear glasses because I need to wear them! I don't wear contacts because I don't like to put anything in my eyes! I do not wear glasses to be in fashion! I do like my glasses however, to look fashionable! I need to wear glasses for distance and for reading so I usually have a few different pairs to change off into so that gives me a variety! I buy some extra pairs in the $1 store! My real glasses which I do get from my eye doctor are two pairs, one for reading and one for distance! I still make sure that they are fashionable!

Hi there mylotter.. I think wearing glasses stil make the user fashionable. Coz so many model of frames is cool now.Can be adjusted to your face shape. But some people wearing glasses feel blocked. so they choose contact lens or else. It is up to each of you, which one comfort you and look beautiful with or without glasses. I think both are still fashionable.

Hmm...Not sure about that.But recently my maid also want to wear glasses because she said she wants to look like my sister and want to wear the same design like my sister.OMG.Is this truly happening?haha.Sounds like she wants it because of the fashion desire more than she need to have it.

i've been wearing glasses since 1998...i have tried wearing contact lens,and i was ok with it...but for 2 years now, been using just my glasses and i'd say it is still fashionable...i just bought another one recently, not to replace my old one but to use as well specially when i go out...
