I watched silent hill last night. I dont get it.

I have not played any of the computer games. Maybe that is why i am a little confused. I dont understand the ending. Is sharon and rose dead when they get back home? Or are they stuck in another dimension? That would explain everything being misty around them i guess. Is there a silent hill 2. I hope so as i loved the film and it seems like a funny place to end it completely.

That's the way that I took it, even though they made it home, they made it home as ghosts. And I think that the husband was well aware of their presence. They might have be stuck in another dimention. That's a different way to look at it.
And yes, there is a part two being made. Think it comes out next summer, 2010.

Im hoping that for the second film they keep the same storyline and not changing it. The videogames are infamous for that as well, hope they dont keep it TOO faithful hehehehehe :D
Im thinking that Sharon and Rose showing up at their home within the alternate reality, is also a way of saying that Silent Hill is "growing".

From what I saw about the movie, it's not following the story line of the first film, it's about someone else getting stuck or stranded at Silent Hill.

there are alot of video games for that, 5 that I can think of, awesome games, you should play them, they do help you better understand the movie too
