Do you play the lottery?

on a regular basis? or upon occasion? like when the jackpot gets so huge it makes the news? Hubby usually buys a Power Ball ticket 1-2x a week & once in a while some scratch offs. think it's a waste Hubby says "if you don't play you can't win" wich is true on both accounts.

I don't play the lottery. Well, once or twice a year I might, but it's just throwing money down the drain. I don't play because they tell us all the proceeds are going to education but our schools are in such bad shape that I doubt any of it goes for education!

I'd better play blackjack or roulette rather than lottery. I played a long time ago, now let's say that I ..retired xD. Anyway, it's waste of time, money, and brain. Yes, agree with you, if you don't play you don't win, but i can say 2, if you don't work you won't get any money. Get serious.

I don't play because I can't name a single person in my life who has ever won a big jackpot... yet I can name plenty who play every week! So it just seems like the odds are stacked so high against us that it's virtually impossible to win. Ok ok, I do know people who won 100, 200, or even 5000. However, they spent more on the lottery in their life than they won.
So basically the only time I get lottery tickets is when they are gifts. And while my husband likes giving them in birthday cards, I prefer giving a gift card that they can actually use.

I don't, and I never have. I've read and heard the professional statisticians say that there is a better chance of being hit by lightning than winning the lottery. I don't know how people who have been hit by lightning feel, but they're probably thinking if they got hit by lightning, they might as well take a chance on the lottery. I just don't have the money to play once in a while. I don't care that other people do it, but it's just not something I'm into.

Sorry but playing lottery is too risky and is wastage of both time and money. In start one will find it a good source of income but after few days it will become good source vanishing of your money. Playing lottery will never make some one rich or satisfied. Luck is there but it is not always with us. Suppose by luck if you won once then your greed will become bigger and you will try to invest more and more money but luck will not favour you every time and this time you will loose the money you won as well as your original cash also.

I don't. I have high doubts with lottery here in the Philippines. If I were in the US, there is a higher possibility that I would engage in something like it. I have friends and relatives based in the United States who have already won in the lottery there.

Yes i used to play lottery but with certain limits. Now lottery is banned in my place so dont have a chance to try my luck. I have seen people spend more than they should on lotteries. This is ridiculous. If u have the luck to win the jackpot, u neednt buy 100's, Just 1 ticket will do the trick thx

Yes i play one line of numbers on the lottery each week, the numbers are made up from dates that are special to me. I am also of the opinion that "youve got to be in it to win it" and i havent done yet, but maybe one day my numbers will come up and i will get a big payout, i think so far ive never had more than £40.
