I've got into the habit of raing everything, as the rating system is an integral part of Mylot. I try not to rate negatively unless a post is really poor or offensive, though. Apparently your rating level goes towards determining your earnings, so it's a good idea to get into the routine of rating on a regular basis.

I always rate the responses that are in my discussion. That is my way of thanking people to take time and give a response. However i don't know these make an affect or not. But it doesn't take any time and it's quite easy so it's also another eason of doing it.
Have a good day, happy myllotting

I tend to only rate is there is a really good post. I have never rated someone negatively, and I only intend to if there is a horrific post. I think we should all take rating seriously as it was designed to be an intergral part of mylot. I do have a suspicion that some myloter do not rate at all (I myself only found the rating system yesterday :] )

I usually rate all the things I read whether or not I end up leaving a comment or not as well. If it spiked my interest for me to read then I take the time to rate it. Sometimes it peaks my interest to read and I think I'm going to respond then I change my mind. I have always rated discussions since I have been here and even some of the responses to those discussions.

I will always do because what's the purpose of putting it there if you would not use it? But I am not really sure if it really has a credit to all the members...cheers!

If i start a discussion i always rate the responses that i get, and most times i rate them good. When i am just responding to different discussions i rate only the ones that i believe deserve a good rating. I stay away from rating any one bad.

Yes, I often rate others posts. I'm into a pretty good habit of reading the post and then immediately rating it. Just like I did with yours! :-) It's not "necessary" or "required" to rate others posts but it's just a nice thing to do! Plus, it's what makes our stars the number that they are. Happy Mylotting!

Yes, I do, but only those that I respond to myself. If I don't respond after reading a few then then, I just leave the discussion instead of rating it or responding. I just don't think it is necessary to reat discussions and responses, unless I reasond to them myself. The rating systme has been abused as of late as others have rated some negatively because they have disagreements, with them, and that isn't right. Just because someone disagrees with someone else, doesn't give them a right to rete them negatively. I usually rate positive, as we are all trying to build up our ratings. I will only give a negative when someone posts referral links. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

How do you rate a response? can anyone clear my doubts and guide me how to do so, if it is an important thing to do here in mylot?
