When did you or your kids start back to school this year?

Hi Ladym22 It was August 25th for us. My daughter is the only school age child I have left she is a senior in high school oh boy how the time flies !I remember when she was in Kindergarden I took home video of this little girl in bowrettes (who barely came up to my waste) as she got on the bus and now she is this almost grown woman who is taller than me lol! They grow up right before your eyes

ladym, my kids don't start for another week, wed. the second. this is actually early for us as we started after labor day the last several years. and last year we had lots of snow and floods too which made our school year end the twentieth of June! But it is nice to have a shorter summer. I'm counting down the days until next week! I love them of course, but with all four of them home it gets a little noisy and frustrating!!

My four eldest children start back to school on the 3rd September a week today. My youngest son who is three does not start back to pre-school until the 7th September. He can not wait to get back as he is missing school a lot. I am sure that will change when he gets older.

We start school after Labor Day primarilly because we traveled right before school started and we are trying to get my son into Virtual School. We've had some communication problems with the school so it may not work out. We home school so we can start when most kids do but we only go 4 days a week and give them Friday off. We call it field trip Fridays and we visit the zoo or a museum or educational facility so they are still learning.

My sons both started school on Monday, August 24th. The youngest just entered ninth grade and the other entered his freshman year of college. I think it was nice that they started on the same day. They started pretty much the same time that they usually do. They try to start them earlier in Texas because it starts to get really hot in June. They are usually finished with school the last week of May or the first week of June.

In my town the French and Catholic school boards went back Aug 24 or 25, and the public school boards will be going back Sept 8 The CEGEPS in my home province traditionally go back the last week of August, but I don't know if that's still true. xoxo Cyne

Mine started back Monday. Yes, it does seem that school is starting later. We just found out that our kids go until June 11th.... that is just crazy.
