When I was little ,I would always play with my friend together. But now everything changed ,you can only contact your friend with internet ,cellphone.I do think it is not good for us to keep close relationship with each other.Gradully ,I lost contact with a few friends.lol. What do you think about this question ?

I think sometimes the internet really makes us isolated. We don't often go to have the outdoor activities. We just stay at home and get online. We contact our friends and family by emails and chatting software. But we don't often visit them in person. Even we go shopping via the net today. This is the disadvantage of internet to take people apart.
I love China

Hey,
Well I think that the Internet actually doesn't really isolate you, it may isolate you from the rest of the world, but I don't think it isolates me from everyone. Because when you talk to everyone else here on myLot, you are not isolated. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I think Internet helps us to get socialize with people whom we otherwise would have never came across. If you are online for say around 8hrs a day, still there is around another 8hrs which you can spend with your friends & family.
Internet can become addiction to many because of its potential to deliver what our wishes are. You can make almost anything happen over the net. Once a person get used to net, he will never say a word against the ultimate net!
So Internet never makes us isolated from anything

I can relate to that. With the technology we have now, we are becoming more isolated physically. It's true that when you are online or use the internet, you get to keep in touch with your friends and family who are far. But it's really different when we are together physically.

In a way, yes. Because the internet is a good medium to meet online friends and offers a lot of fun and interesting activities without leaving the house, people tend to spend more time "on line" than actually deal with people personally. Internet has brought about a whole new way of socializing, and now you can "meet" friends without actually meeting anyone in person. I hear parents complain about their kids spending more time on the computer and have stopped playing outdoor games, and have very limited time socializing with family members and friends. So in my opinion, while internet gives us a wider reach to the people around the world,it also isolates us from the people who matter more to us - our family and personal friends. Of course the key here is time management - being able to manage the time spent on family, personal friends, and online friends - so you don't lose touch with any of these three very important players in your life.
