Hello friends, Just wondering if you ever go to new users to try to help out? If so are you giving out helpful advice so that they can easily understand? I"ve been here for a few months now and I still feel as though I"m a new user. (Maybe after I've been here about a year I will feel like an oldie). Anyhow I just want to know how much support are you offering to the newer people? If you'd like you may also tell how long you've been a my lot member as well as what drew you to this particular site? Your courteous responses are deeply appreciated.

I usually do try to help the newer users the problem is when they think they know more than I do and get an attitude when I try to help them

Hee hee hee, oh well, I imagine that could always be a problem with most new people. I think that another problem is that they may be a little bit shy so perhaps they may not know how to come out and ask you what they are supposed to do without feeling just a little bit intimidated by your great online achievements wonttakelong.Have you ever thought of that before?

I dont see why they would be intimidated by me other than have been here on mylot for a total of over 4 years now I dont have any "great online acheivements" i think its just that they are pompous arrogant little twits that think they know everything LOL

For me, it often depends on the amount of time I have to be active in here if I will check out the New member discussions to see if there is something I can help with, but a lot of times I do help them if I see a Good discussion I can respond back too as it is important to motivate the New people in here just so they will want to keep active in here as well. I feel this site is Great for anyone anywhere that is why people should never feel limited in here as well.

Thank you very much Krausehome, you've offered a very helpful comment, I'm sure that many of the newbies will feel perfectly comfortable at home and welcome here. Particularly if they happen to read your comment and they begin to see just how helpful some of the more seasoned mylotters are. Thanks for coming by and for offering your viewpoint on the matter. Have a great day, looking forward to chatting with you again real soon. Bless you!

Hey, I actually like to respond in new users discussions a lot. I feel that this way they will be encouraged to write more. And ofcourse if they ask for some kind of help, Iam sure everyone of us would like to help. Just like the saying goes " A friend in need is a friend indeed" Cheers, Tutul

Hello there my friend, I like your saying a lot. I remember that saying from a long time ago perhaps I learned it back from one of the fellas in my old neighborhood some time ago. Anyhoo, it's a wonderful thing to know that you go to the new users and offer help. So this way they don't feel all alone up here online. I will be sure to follow your great example after I've been here for a while. Even now I go to the "no response" section quite a bit just to see where I can help out at. Sometimes it's rather difficult to leave a response but I try my best if there is something that I can think of that's worthwhile saying or sharing. Have a great weekend my friend. ttyl!CC!

When i see any member asking for help with something i always try and help them out. I have only been here about 8 months myself, so i am still learning different things all the time myself. But i do respond if i think that i can help.

How wonderful of you to reach out to help others my friend even though you've not even been here too long, just like me. Anyhow I am hopeful that the more you give out that you will get back double and then some. I am still in a learning process myself so I know now difficult it can be sometimes to try to help others out when you're still working on your own page as well. Anyhow may we all continue to hang in here and help out where we can and do our best to help each other to grow and thrive here at mylot. Have a great weekend and I look forward to chatting back with you again soon. take care

Just recently I made friends with some new members here on myLot. They ask me for help and I help them. Its just fine to help other new members then to post under some of the Stupid topics that people discuss here.

Hee hee hee, I think that's what also helps to make this place so fun my friend, we just never know what all we might see or happen to run into. I think it's sweet of you to be so helpful to the newbies and I pray that goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life, as you are one that is willing to give of yourself to help others. That is a very good thing indeed. take care and have a wonderful day!

Hi there, I always come to discussion and response it. I also give my advice to a new member here if they ask me, and I hope I can help them, because I know it's hard when we still a new member, confuse and doubt always dominated in our mind. I try to make that feel/opinion disappear from the new member as hard as I can, so I can make new friends here and can share with more users.

That is very sweet of you wahyueQ to help out new members and to try to make them feel at ease so as to help remove doubt and frustrations from their minds. I hope that everybody up here will humble themselves just as you've done and will remember that they too were once new at one time. We all need a little help from time to time and it's never a bad idea to help someone because we just never can tell when we might be in need of some help. take care my friend and God bless you. Please add me as a friend as I've really enjoyed the conversation a lot. And don't forget that I"m still kind of new, so you just might need to help me. Blessing 2 U!

From time to time, I'll respond to new member's discussions to help them out but then again even I can only do so much. There are a few surprises trying to help new members, typically assumed the ones with single-double digit post counts. Sometimes there is a great discussion they have. Other times you find the member actually isn't a new user, just a person that rarely posts. To those reading and still considering, I say give it a try every once in awhile. You might find something great.

I try to visit every category when I log in here. I was new once too and know that getting started can be a bit difficult. I look at it this way, I want people to respond to my discussions, whether they are new here or not, I do my best to respond to as many discussions as I am able to at a time, whether the person is new here or not.

Thank you very much for your response my friend, that is very kind of you to go to some of the newer people and offer advice/tips. I'm sure that most of us are very appreciative of all the help that we can get. I understand how it is with having only so much time online, as you'd want to make the most of it while you're here. So thanks for responding to mine and I hope you keep on being a good mylotter. I feel that you will be around a long time, take care! Cc!

Well, a couple of days ago, there was two different users who wanted to asked for help. then i did gave advise, trouble is, it's either they got the wrong message or part of the message was wrong. one mylotter got emotionally hurt and blame me for that user being depressed. made some quite a insult in some of my response to her. but i just let it go, i don't have time to argue or be sensitive to another sensitive mylot user...i would..only help if they asked me too.no more barging in in with regards to that, il let some other oldies handle it.
