Its nice to hear that you are your own boss. What business are you into now?Howz it going on? Its always a nice feeling to work for oneself than working for someone.

Well, the easiest and most convenient reason to give will be, i'm sick.. lol =D That's the only leave i will be taking.. hehe ^_^ So far in my work or wherever i'm, i have never taken any other leave, as i dun see the need to. haha =D I will just accumulate it till end of the year or mid year, before clearing them.. lol =D
As such, i dun need any fake reasons to take leave, when the company will automatically wanna me to take leave.. lol =D

I am able to request specific days off from work for appointments etc as long as I put in the required hours and all the shifts are covered. If the requests are not granted, I can sometimes swap a shift with someone else. If I'm genuinely feeling too ill to go in I'd ring as early as possible and tell the truth. I dont work full-time hours so I dont need to bunk off. However, there have been times when they've rung to ask if I'll do an extra shift & my husband has told them I'm not home. I do know someone who said that his sister had given birth to a baby boy & the whole family were going to visit for the weekend, so he needed the Friday off. He even gave the time/place/weight/names... but he didn't actually have a sister.

The most common alibi that anyone could state from leaving from work is that he or she is sick. Why I say that? It is because I had done it myself. I think that is the only valid reason I could think. I know that it was not right, but I got to do what I got to do.

I have read the comments people made on this discussion and most of the people agreed on the headache or flu excuse, together with the stomachache. I think those are the common excuse people give because it's the easiest. I can't say i had an accident or was in the operating room for a day or two. They would ask for the docs certificate...I cant show it since i have none lol. Don't wanna kick out of my work so better to make fake reasons or "aches" that easy come easy go.

I think the most original one I've ever faked was 'pink eye' but thats it. lol. Usually I just go along with the 'food poisoning' or 'I woke up with an upset stomach'. Those ones are pretty simple and easy. lol. And no one questions it really.
