It's been awhile but I still have to do it just because.
Ahem... Microphone check, 1, 2, 3....
"LIVE!!!! From the Hyperastra Spacelab and Fortress, somewhere high above planet Earth, communicating to you through your pets while still able to steal snacks from your fridge all before bedtime, it is....!!!!!!!"
"Pro's Free-for-All Weekend!!!!"
Awwwwwwww YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Phew, now that that's out of me, let me quickly describe what this series of discussion is for. Its a way for me to describe weekend events or things that happened over the week. It is also a getaway for myself and for fellow mylotters from those not so fun things you may have encountered (here or somewhere in that thing called the real world). As an added bonus you can also bring up fun topics or things that might interest me the dictator.... I mean "director" of the Weekend Spacefortress. Be warned that your responses do run the risk of being hijacked by myself or subject to whatever silly notions come to mind. Enjoy!!! =3
Now for my end of the discussion. Been off of mylot due to work and a nice deluge of tasks for relatives. To show you how bad it was picture this. Anyone ever clean up an entire basement and garage... which included 30 years worth of junk!? Oh and that's just a short description... you didn't have to go through it yourselves! Plus add on nice spikes in work and you end up with one tired beaten up Pro.
And now its time to hear (yes at the Spacelab I can hear you as you type ;p) from the mylotters. Hows your week or your weekend? Hope to hear from you all.

As to your question...yes. With my work I often encounter "hoarders" and they need a little prodding to get rid of their collections. One went to a nursing home and my hubby was hired to clean out her cellar. Well, it was quite a job. I doubt he will ever do that again.
Really good to see you again. Big huggers to you.

Hey your kids are lucky, here at the spacelab (lol) school started for the district in mid-August. Strangely, I don't see as many kids walking home and such... maybe its just me.
So Zephyr your kids go back to school after Labor Day. Hope you got all the supplies and such. Best of luck to your children in their studies and to you in providing for your children in these matters

Hey, been gone for awhile but good to be back. I feel your pain on the basement gig. I can say that my week went about as predictably as I could have expected, nothing terribly exciting, but nothing terribly bad either. You're a really good soul for taking on the formidable task of 30 years of basement residue.

The space lab an experiment that begins at a perfect time... At least you didn't mention 30 years of cats living in the basement

As you were typing this from your spacelab I was driving 6 hours south to Ocean City with a van packed full of camping supplies and sweaty sleeping children. We voted on a family vacation this year and the men voted camping...typical men...whereas the women voted beach....typical spoiled rotten women....
So to make everyone miserable...err I mean happy...we went camping ON the beach. Which was a great idea until some time around 11 PM Friday night when hurricane like winds ripped all of our rear tent stakes out of the ground and the back half of our tent (which of course was where the avatar was sleeping) got hammered with rain and blown ferociously about.
And that was just the start of my our great weekend.
I am home now nursing my sun burn, strep throat, and numerous bug bites while I still try to figure out how I still have sand in crevices I didn't know I had.
