I love cats too, I have always had them until I had kids. Now unfortunately my son is allergic top them. However because I have had kids, I can add to this discussion. Some of the names of cats I have had over the years include:
Cuddles
Boots
Kizzy
Princess
Frisky
Stretch
Numbnuts
Shiloh
Brat
Mango
Alex (but we called him fatty)
Great discussion topic, its interesting to see what other people have names their animals. Some are so original!

Sassy, Scamp, Shooting Star - Star, Rio, Timus, Taj, Chevron - Ronnie, Gabrielle - Gabby, Gizmo, Ping & Pong, Solo, Rygel, Oliver, Booboo, Chalube. Kit, Rock Star - Roxie, Tuti and Nefer, Frankenkitty - Frankie, Antonio - Tony, Blossom, Flower, Brat, Jumper, Scoot (a/k/a Thing One and Thing Two) and Jool Think I'm missing one...
Scamp, Chalube, Kit, Rock Star, Tuti, Nefer and Flower came named, we change Booboo's from Kaboodle and Sassy's from Blacky, and named Blossom that because her sister was already named Flower.

Hello preciouz, what is amazing is you have so many cats at home. May I just ask you, you yourself take care of 8 cats. I bet it is not easy to take care 8 cats at the same time. You must be an animal lover .
I have no pets at home. My house has got 2 little kids here. I am too busy with my 2 kids, hence I don't have extra time to get any pet. But my cousin has a pet. It is a pretty cat, but I only know it has a nice name. It is called RichyChoc! It has nice chocolate color fur.

We have three cats and their names are:
Kali (she is part Calico and part Persian).
Blackee (she is all black and very skinny),
Smyles (he was named when we got him),
All three of our cats came from adoption agencies. They are great cats and all have different personalities. Kali and Blackee are very mellow while Smyles loves to run around and chase his sisters. Smyles has a favorite tv show "The Young and the Restless" he sits on the remote control so I cannot change the channel. Also, if I am on my laptop he tries to sit as close to the keyboard as possible so I cannot do any work. It disturbs him. He is silly, but a great cat.

gypsy rose is my diva she likes to play with your head i swear she was a human in another life hahah.
she usually tends to dislike ppl and will avoid them unless she knows she makes them uncomfertable in which case she is trying to crawl all over them to make them squirm all i can do is giggle

We have had many cats with many names, but the two I think most unusual were named by our daughter. First, she had Square Face. I didn't think that a very good name for a beautiful cat and tried to change it to Squire. That didn't work, and he remained Square Face. After Square Face, she got Iggy. This was a female, but we didn't know that at first. After we found out her true gender, I thought she should have a more feminine name, but she remained Iggy. I asked my daughter why she called her that, and she said it was short for ignoramus. Many years later she told me that her story wasn't true. Iggy was the name of a rock star. I had never heard of him or her and still have not.

I've had tons of cats. THere was Bum, who was a lazy bum! Then when the kittens showed up that looked just like him, we had "Son of Bum" the next season we saw "Bum's Son"! (we called them "SOB" and "BS") I have had other simple names like Kitty. Then there was also Gilbert, Micca, Ford and Howard. Howard was Howard because when the neighbors brought him to me to stay, I called out to the kids to ask what his name was. I thought the guy said "Howard" so it stuck. But the kids told me he actually said, "Powder" -- because he was white like powder. It didn't matter to me though, he'll always be "Howard!"

We have 8 cats, down from 10, and I don't think we are crazy! I admit the cat population increased as my kids grew up and left home. We have had some great cat names over the years. When I was about 9 I named my cat Ziska. Later, my daughter named one Ricochet, and it did suit her! And there was Waldo, who was so hyper that every minute or so we were asking, "Where is he?"
Poppy was a flamboyantly colored tortie. Her sister was named Kismet because we had a special bond and I knew we were meant to be together.
And we had two little black brothers named Caruso and Magellan. They became sick when only two weeks old (I was fostering them for a rescue organization)and I had to take them to the vet. Their mama was feral so she wasn't coming along. I put them into a basket with a bottle of warm water and a little fleece blanket. Magellan kept trying to climb out, so I named him after an explorer. Tiny Caruso hollered so loud about the thermometer they stuck up his butt that I named him after an opera singer. :-) We kept them of course. Those tiny boys ended up in the 16 to 20 pound range.
Samoa was named because her coloring reminded me of that Girl Scout cookie, with colors of coconut, caramel and dark chocolate. We had a cat who came to us with the name Danger, but I changed it to Angel because I didn't like the negativity.
I had a parakeet named Lek. I just made up the name.
