There are many brand of toothpaste to choose from now. I buy the cheapest brand I can fine and think it is just as good as the expensive ones. I buy Aims toothpaste. Do you buy the same brand your parents did or have you changed? What brand do you buy and why?

My parents did not always use the same one consistently, so no I don't use the same brand. I recently tried the lemon lime flavor from Tom's of Maine and found it very refreshing.

It is a brand usually sold in places that carry health food products. You can probably find it online though.

Hi happy, my family members are the faithful consumers of Colgate brand toothpaste since my childhood. After marriage, I learn that all the family members of my husband side use the same brand of toothpaste as well. I keep on using the same toothpaste of course I use another brand of toothpaste till my son bought me the Greenzhi toothgel brand few years back. The gel is green in color and gives a comfortable and mild fragrant smell. It’s edible and could keep fresher breath, healthy and bright teeth. I wonder whether I really possess such well teeth or not! I just know it is rather expensive in price compared to the former one Happy posting!

Surely you haven’t heard of such toothpaste before happy. It’s a direct selling product. So we could never find it in the markets, even in Walmart. Have you heard of the popular Amway direct selling? It’s similar to that as well, but it’s not so popular of course. It’s the product from a Taiwan direct selling company, ShuangHe. Happy posting

I currently use Colgate. It is the brand of toothpaste that I grew up with. Sometimes I use Crest as well. I was using Tom's of Maine for a little while, but went back to Colgate and Crest after my husband's dissatisfaction with Tom's, though I still get it for our kids. Happy mylotting!

I have never hear of Tom's of Maine. Is this a brand that is only sold in the northeastern part of the US? Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

Hello my happy friend. I don't care about too much about its brand when it comes to buying toothpaste. Like you, I don't buy expensive ones, but choose some cheap ones. Because I hold the idea that they are as good as those expensive ones in quality. But I don't always use one brand toothpaste. I change it when I have consumed one brand.

Supposely they say that some brands are better but I do not believe this. And just because something is expensive does not make it better than the cheaper brand. Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

I have been a Crest girl for years. I really prefer Crest over any other brand. I only have 2 caveties and that is pretty good for someone who is 44 and weather it is a coincedence or not one of the two cavities I got during the only time in my life I used a different toothpaste other than Crest. I bought a tube of something else to try it the tube lasted a few months, and I had a dentis appointment after that and had a cavity. I went back to using Crest and have used it ever since.

I currently using 'Fresh & White' toothpaste. I did not buy it. I got it courtesy from 'Lam Soon' Annual General Meeting. They gave their products to their shareholders. However, the popular brands are Colgate, Oral B, Darlie and Sensodyne which we used.

When it comes to Toothpaste I know there are quite a few that I really like, but the problem can be the price a lot of the time as well. And what I tend to like is not my husbands favorite so instead of buying 2 we just buy the one. My favorite happens to be usually Aim as well, but my husband prefers Colgate especially when he can find it on Sale.

Colgate is expenses even when I check in the dollar stores it still is $3.00. The Aim I can get for .88 cents or 1.00 so that is why I buy it. Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

I have used Aims before but couldn't tell you what kind I'm using now - I just buy what is pretty much the cheapest or on sale at the moment I need it.

When I was young my father regularly used to buy only Colgate. After some time I was not able to tolerate it and in spite of this, he was adamant in buying the same paste. After him I used many brand of tooth pastes. Now days I check up the price, and buy the paste which is the least priced.

When I was young I think my mother brought Crest which is very good. But it is higher than Aim so I buy it. Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

I don't usually buy them unless I am buying extras for vacation or something. My dentist gives everyone in our family a new toothbrush when we go to see him for our annual cleanings. So I don't normally have to buy them. He gives us the Colgate brand toothbrushes though. I think he gives us what ever kind he thinks are bests for us.

Oops, I thought you said toothbrushes. I use Crest Whitning toothpaste. I have been a Crest user my whole life. I only have 2 tiny cavities and I am in my 40s so it has worked well for me.

Aquafresh right now, but normally I get arm and hammer. When I was younger when we would run out of toothpaste we would just use baking soda, which did a great job without all the chemicals. I guess if you really want a white smile for really cheap go with arm and hammer baking soda. The rest of my family uses Crest...don't know why I don't like the stuff but I can't stand using it.

Although not always the cheapest, I personally use the Colgate line of toothpaste. The Colgate whitening toothpastes seem to lighten my teeth more effectively over a period of weeks than any other, but the whitening toothpastes aren't always best for sensitive teeth. On the other hand, there are many other toothpastes which clean efficiently and prevent plaque buildup - though they may not whiten as well. Because of my preferences I prefer Colgate toothpaste as teeth whitening trumps the prevention of plaque buildup any day though alternating between two brands for a mixture of healthy and glowing teeth seems like a good idea!!
