When I am not in a hurry I prefer traveling by sea, because I felt more relaxed and I can unwind. As to air travel, I only prefer it when time is of the essence. But with regards to fear of travel by sea or by air, I think accidents happen, only God knows when.

I think I prefer by sea. Because if the cruise ship is in accident you probably save through life vest. But if the plane is crash or in an accident. It's 90% you will survive. Like happen in 9/11 that terrorist hijack the plane.
But if the cruise ship is being hijack, terrorist cannot actually crash it in any building or any other ship.
have a nice day!

yup! they deploy unknowingly not for the purpose of protecting people but for investigating the ship irregularities...Because if their purpose is to protect passenger's they should deploy at least five especial forces that really train as navy seal not just a regular personnel...
This sea marshal also hiding and not knowing about their identity and how the hijackers preemptive to do crime's if they don't see anything risk in their plan?
I don't think two sea marshal is enough to protect passengers against criminals have sophisticated weapons...

Yeah, I agree with you, sea is the safest, the only way to prevent sea hi-jacking on cruise ships is to deploy sea marshals. Like here in the Philippines, experience has taught us.

At least sea marshals are just one of the deterrents for ship hi-jacking. Security measures are already in place in sea ports. Furthermore, sea marshals are deployed unknowingly among passengers.

Most of all I love to travel by train. In the day time I can enjoy looking out of the window. In the night time I can sleep in a comfortable compartment. I have traveled on trains in Europe, the USA, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. When I travel by ferry I can get travel sick if the sea is rough with high waves. I like to travel by air because going by plane is really quick. However a few plane crashes have happened lately. Good luck and safe traveling.

I haven't experienced traveling by train yet, the available mode of transportation here is by bus, ship and by plane. Being sea sick is just getting used to kind of thing.

I prefer the air travel as it will save a lot of time. With regards to accidents, it can happen in any mode of travel. Even if we walks also , the accident can happen. So it should not be a matter of concern. So leave it to God and travel as the time demands

Thanks for your comment, maybe you will only travel by sea, when you are in a luxury cruise ship, hopping from one island to another..

Hi Edward,
Welcome to myLot!
I prefer to travel by air because 1) it's faster 2) it's more convenient and 3) I'm so scared of the vast seas. I've experienced travelling by sea and in those few times I always felt panicky when the islands in sight start fading, and more so when there is nothing else around but all waters, I don't want that kind of feeling so I'd rather travel by the mode I'm comfortable with.

Air travel is always preferred by people who are on the go, sea travel is taken when going on a cruise, but generally, sea travel is safe, especially during good weather.
