The Smiley Mania!

Hello, did i miss something here. seems that things have changed a little bit. including your avatar there Knight. kinda cute but there's a bit of wrinklesJoke. and i thought every one just turned mysdianait's children. i guess it's their way to have fun...

I'll refrain from using a smiley for avatar definitely. Granted, I haven't setup an avatar of my own, but, using a smiley just doesn't really tell much about the person. True enough, some people setup random or inappropriate avatars, but, a smiley surely doesn't transpire anything about the person rather than perhaps a random emotion that surely won't be felt constantly. I'll be sure to put up a kitten or something in my case.

Hi LK25. I think I know who is that one, the one that sleeps soundly one eye opened and is always awake and aware. lol I also noticed that, sometimes I thought I feel dizzy when jhelai and mysd barge in in the same thread of yours. lol I've seen many of them, some remains in yellow and others in red. Some are static and some moves. But as I mentioned in one of my posts, this is me, and I will remain the same, with this one.

oh! i got lots of smiley dear... and MysD thansk to that one .. and my friend rberon... and some friends here who makes mylot yellowish for all the smiley they always produce and kepp on pooping in and out of mylot community. it sure is funa dn now i am into smiley as well. friend rberon told its nice to be yellowish too. like him lol!jhelai

This is so true. I too have seen a lot of smiley avatars. With me, the funny part is that, I had a smiley avatar, just about a fortnight back and I changed it to my current picture. Then I see that most myLotters are going the smiley way. I intend to stay in my current avatar for a bit, then slip back behind the yellow mask of my old cozy smiley again.

I have never changed my avatar in the 3 years I have been a myLotter. It is my alpha (female) dog- Schatzie and has her mouth ready to give her opinion.

I wonder what is going on with that. If there was a good reason 'maybe' I'd change my avatar, but here's the catch I already changed it in tribute to another mylotter. It'd be very weird to change in more ways than one.

I have always said that myLot reflects life offline. Offline there is a swine flu virus and here we are all being affected with the yellow sunshine bug Goodness how it started but I too noticed that many of my friends are changing and it's giving a great fun look to so many discussions! Isn't that what it's all about here? Yours is YOU? That should be a huge success too

Hiya bro, I see you have some lovely, hot and awesome answers here.. too funny! Was reading and concentrating when I realized I've yet to answer. Ha, so here I go.. I've noticed the growth of smiley mushrooms too, and I must say it's a healthy grow. It brightens up the windows of mylot and once entered, more sunnier.. Even the emoticons are smiley, (most of them anyway). I enjoy seeing but I shall skip having it on my avatar for now. I let the ladies be the smileys. They are fun to look at surely..

Yep, same here. I mean, of course it cant be helped that some people might have the same or similar avatar but when it comes to Smileys, which I also actually considered of making my avatar when I first started here, there would only be one "Smiley" for me in the myLot world. I prefer to be my own personality and I also have thought of changing my avatar, but like you said, it's already my "face" on here. Other members recognize me for my avatar and not my username so for helping them recognize me, I dont change my avatar. I only make up for the smiley thing for me by using this(^_^) smiley when I feel the need to. It is my favorite one and its the one that I most connect to. If that makes any sense.LOL

The yellow smilies that seem to be popping up around the place are cute and funny but I think that for the time being I will stick to my old avatar. As much as I really like the endearing little yellow fellows I will stay with my kitty for now...

I haven't noticed this trend so far, but I personally wouldn't trade my avatar for a smiley. Smileys are fun, but I don't think they are cool to use as an avatar. I kind of like the fact that my avatar is personal. It doesn't have to be a picture of yourself, but it can be a trademark that helps others recognize you around mylot. I think that would be harder with a smiley.

Hi Let, With greates of respect of other members changing their avatars often which quite fun, but I would never change mind because its too special to me and most members knows me by my Unicorn and ther is no reason for me to chaner it. Tamara

I can't go smiley, I'd have no friends left if I had to be told yet again how to change my avatar. Anyway I like this one.

I think the smileys are cute but I prefer to use a picture, like the one I'm using now, as my avatar. One of these days when I learn how to do it, I'm going to upload a picutre of myself and use it as my avatar. Several mylotters have told me how to do it. I just haven't tried it yet. I think the smileys should go with our discussions and comments to help clarify what we're saying. A person should be able to do what he wants to, though. Kathy.

I am not completely yellow.. Did you notice that i have blue hat with blue eyes? Smileys are always cute and nicer to see. Hmmm.. as this smiley is 2 days old. This is my old Avatar. What about the new one? Do you like to change this to the one i uploaded?

Ah theres nothing wrong with a good smiley, I like the little dudes! Having said that, my avatar is my face with a bits of posterize filter on it! I do use smileys a LOT when I am talking online with friends though. Keep smiling people!
