I think there are much better places on earth and that it is an overrated place to be. Seriously, the gambling is never 100% fun, unless you are very well off financially. Plus, the amusement is too much the same, all about being wild and doing extreme things to achieve amusement. Personally, I prefer the opposite...

You don't have to be wild and extreme to achieve amusement in Vegas, and you don't have to gamble to have fun. Dollar for Dollar, you get the best lodging in the world if you go there during the week, where do you get a 650 sq ft room with 5 star amenities for $150. If you have money, there are more top quality restaurants in that town than putting 2 or 3 big cities together. There are more trendy clubs to satisfied most people's appetite. There are more entertainment than you have time.
And even if you are on a budget, there are more free lounge acts that play till 3-4am than most town I know. TO me, gambling is only fun if you win, so I spend a lot of my money on other activities.

Las Vegas is known for its gambling. Its gambling activities is second to Makau in the world. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Even though I'm under 21, I've been to Las Vegas more than 15 times, I'd say. I love to visit that great city!! I'd never want to live there, though. I don't understand why parents leave their kids at home, because there are so many awesome arcades that they could just drop their kids off at. Circus circus has, by far, the best arcade that I've ever been to!

Some either calls Vegas heaven or hell.. but for me! it is hell, not because of gambling and other vices but, every time poker is concerned, I won't stop gambling until the last penny. Been wanting to go to Vegas if I have all the time and money in the world!

Vegas does have a lot to offer, it's truly a town that don't sleep. Over the course of time, Vegas has gotten a lot more expensive, gone are the days when you can get buffet for $3.99 and cheap drinks. Now even the cheap buffet cost $12-15 and the more expensive one goes for $25-$35. The town does offer everything you ever want to buy or eat. Most high end retail has a store or two on the strip and most famous chef have a restaurant in one of the better hotels. Also the town has more entertainment/shows than you have time or money to take them all in. If you just pick one or two restaurants or shows for every trip you make there, it will take most of your life to take most of them in, but at least you will have fun doing it.
