I `m so courious how many of us are doing that , because since the cellphone it`s the most carried object , as the cellphone has time and date , the watch bacamed more an accessory than an object that we are using so much . If you are carrying a watch, why are you doing that? Just to be in fashion ? Just because you don`t have other accessory that fits your clothes ? Just because you really use that so much ?

My husband dislike carry a watch. He told me that he has a small wrist, so watches would not looked good on him. Therefore, he preferred to use cellphone to check on time and date.
For me, I like to carry watch a lot. I have few watches which different from sizes and colours. It becomes part of my accessories every time I go out. Although I have cellphone, I still use watch a lot.

I saw that too . Man don`t wear so much watches .. but woman wear more. Why it`s that? I think that woman like more to wear all kinds of accesories , and they are much more careful about their appearence . Man i think that don`t like so many accesories , but there are people and people . Man i think that use more the cellphone , because they are "the head of the family " and they need to stay in touch to more people , to make more money, and so on. And for that, cellphone it`s more used by men than for woman . Sure that we can wear a watch too , but it`s , more seen on woman`s hand .

I NEVER wear watches. They seem a little.. masculine to me (no offense to any of you ladies that wear them, I just personally don't like wearing them). I have my cell phone to keep track of the time, and so it wouldn't even serve a good purpose. The only time I can imagine wearing a "watch" is when I go running, and I like to time myself with a stop-watch (usually to make sure my speed is improving). That's about it, though, as far as watches go.

So , you wear watches when you go running . I don`t think that the watches are masculine, i mean , there are hungreds of types of watches for woman . I`m pretty sure that you`ll like at least one . Anyway , i`m happy that you said that you use your cellphone for time and date . As about timing your running , can you tell me , what`s your time ? Let`s run together , you from your country , and i will run from Romania . We`ll see who`s faster .
Maybe some time you`ll decide to wear a watch . Some tastes are changing with the age .. who knows ?

I used to wear a watch constantly. It's true what you say about cell phones. They provide you with everything a watch does and more. Watches have become more of a piece of jewelry than a timepiece. Myself, I hardly wear a watch anymore. I refer to my cell phone.

The battery on my watch needed replacing a couple of months ago and I still haven't got round to it. I have been wearing it as jewellery though because it looks attractive. But I always keep my handy mobile for the time. I must get that sorted!

i think i have completely forgotten that a thing like watch used to be there in my assessories since past few years.its my cellphone which has not only successfully displaced watch out of the scene but also made things more comfortable for me as i had to take the watch out everytime i had to give therapy to a child or put gloves during work hours.

If you work in a medical field it is necessary to wear or carry a watch because you can't assess the patient's vital signs without it. Watch is also the accessory that always in fashion because it can easily match your clothes and with just a watch as accessory your good to go. I always wear a watch so that I can always be on time.

Funny to come across this discussion as I just purchased a watch for myself last week. I haven't worn a watch in years but, I recently started a delivery job and there is not a clock in my car. I don't own a cellphone but, even if I did, the wath is more convienent because I just have to look at my wrist instead of digging a cellphone out of my purse everytime I need to check the time. Plus, of course, it is a very attractive watch and looks good with the other silver jewlery I wear!

I don't see the point in wearing watches anymore! We can access the time easily now on our mobile phones. I haven't worn a watch in years and I don't think I will ever return to wearing one. My wrist feels so free and I remember the days of wearing a watch, it really would feel quite uncomfortable on my wrist. I think that the main use of a watch now can be looked upon as a fashion accessory! I don't like thinking about time too much anyhow, it's far too stressful! Andrew

I never wear a watch. I just don't like it, and I am quite allergic to something worn for some time in my wrist. I prefer wearing bracelet or bangles as accessories since they don't touch my wrist directly. Yes, just like you said, cellphone does have time and date, so I don't think we should wear a watch anymore. However, some of my friends told me that it's just like a habit. They don't feel 'complete' if not wearing a watch. Happy mylotting!

I used to wear a watch too but when the cellphone came out it was more than just a clock in it so i replaced the watch with the Cellphone (as many people did)
And you have right about the watch becoming an accesory because like lots of peaople wear it to stay in fashion..

yes I do carry a watch, but only when i am at work. I am not allowed, for security reasons to carry a phone at work, so to wear my watch is the only way i can get the time

I don't have a cellphone, never have and I don't wear a watch anymore either. I quit wearing a watch when I quit working at a department store because I didn't want to be a slave to time anymore. It works for me though I have to say that there are clocks everywhere and I don't really need one!

every now and then i do wear a watch but because i work in an office, the watch keeps tapping on my desk when i'm working on the computer and annoys me so i take it if and dont put it back on for ages. i like wearing a watch to actually use it as i dont always look at my mobile for the time.

I carry a watch , and... even tho i do have a cell phone , looking at the time is just easier from my watch :) I just pull my hand up and look , while with the cellphone its kinda harder :D And aside from that , i also wear it as an accessory... before i couldnt stand watches , but i dont know now... my hand feels weird when its not on :)
