Hey, it's nice to see you! The most I've ever had to lose was 80 pounds. The doctors put me on steroids, and then cofined me to bed rest. Yeah, I was not happy. But I lost those 80 pounds. I don't know what I had, but after the bed confinement was over, I ended up throwing up for three months straight. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. My parents would take me to the hospital a couple of times a month and the ER docs would hook me to an IV. And in three months I lost 100 pounds. Now I gained 20 back, water weight a big part of it. But those 80 pounds never came back. I will never go on steroids again.
So I guess that story isn't much of a help. But I did lose 25 pounds once in a period of two months. I walked a mile every day, and limited my caloric intake to 1,200 a day. That includes calories in any drink. And the 25 pounds came off. I've kept them off, although it is a lot harder to keep them off than it was losing them orignally. I have probably been of no help. I'm sorry.

I am working out hard. I have changed my diet. I am trying to be disiplined everyday. I have to get the numbers down or I will have to stay on cholesterol meds. I AM DOING SWEATING WITH THE OLDIES EVERYDAY. It is a fun way to stay in shape. Appreciate the response.

My sugar is also higher now and my triglisorites ect....it was time to get to work. I have looked at all the work out videos but Sweating with the Oldies, seemed the most fun and the best way for me to get it off.

My sister's doctor recommended cinammon pills for blood sugar. My sister doesn't need to take them now, but she did for a long time, and they helped. They are just an herbal supplement. They should be at any store. Just cinammon capsules. My dad started using them based on the results my sister had, and they have brought his blood sugar down too.

For me personally I find that exercise is the only way I can get weight off, I used to diet so much in my teens it never worked, I love my food too much and I would binge too, so I took up exercise, I go to the gym 4 times a week for a couple of hours but you don't have to do that much. Since going to the gym the weight has slipped off! Even in my clothes too, I am now down to a 32" at my largest I was "38. I don't worry what I eat now because I know I can easily burn it off. Good luck my friend.

I am on an excercise program that I do everyday. I am somewhat sore right now lol because of it. It is going well and it is working. I really like the music, it is more inspiring. Good for you! I am sad to say that I have lost a good friend to a heart attack who was only 50 years old. It is a wake up call. Appreciate the response!

I had the most luck with writing down all the things I ate, and what the calories were, then all the activity or exercise I did and what those calories were that I burned. Actually I was on a website that did all the figuring for me. I am the wrong one to ask though, as I believe that I would feel my best if I lost fifty pounds.

I lost 65 pounds a couple years ago just by controlling my portions. I measured everything. I ate what I wanted, within reason, but a portion of mashed potatoes does not mean half the plate! It took me about 8 months to lose that. I ate chocolate and ice cream and stuff but paid attention to the calories and the serving sizes.
I want to lose the next 40 pounds then I'll be at my goal weight. And thanks for posting about Simmons on youtube!

Hi eaforeman! I had to lose some weight after having my children. I weighed almost 200 pounds with my last daughter. I thought I was going to have a really good sized baby but she only weighed 6 pounds..LOL..I just didn't over eat and stayed active. Outside stuff. When I say not over eating..I just mean that I didn't gorge myself. I eat until I wasn't hungry. Grapefruit has also been a proven fat burner but I hate the way it tastes so I'm glad it worked rather quickly. I eat on a day in the morning.

I really suggest that everyone check their numbers on this cholesterol and all. It can slip up fast and catch you off guard. Noone wants plack in their veins. It can save lives just to know and do what needs to be done. Appreciate the response!

I recently lost around 80 pounds.. I started being more active, I did not go the the gym or anything, I just did the things that I enjoyed like playing tennis, swimming, and I started walking alot.. I also found support online with two other friends and we shared weight loss tips and just daily things we did that helped us to lose...
I started eating slower, and stopped eating when i got full, instead of just eating it because it was on my plate, when i got full ,i would
toss the rest.. that helped alot.. now when i eat, I learned not to feel up on my drink, and take small sips with my food, instead of drinking two or three with my meal... now i just drink one..soda or what ever im drinking... hope some of this helps.. :) good luck
