I dunno I can see why they were pulled from shelves. THough like the article says the doll looks decent but the concept is inappropriate for a child. ANd did you read it came with "tip money" OMG! Women already have enough sociatial pressures from childhood through adulthood, nonetheless a toy like this. Dare I say this toy was not created by a parent I imagine. http://www.makli.com/pole-dancing-doll-006103/

It's so bad it's funny..... not for kid use that's for sure. But you realize if they have those dolls they'll need the costumes for Halloween mimicking this whole sick idea

Sure and then when the teachers or neighbors ask what your son is & he proudly says "I'm a pimp" watch the look on their faces of disgust. If he has sisters can guess who they get to be...

LOL I think this has to be some kind of joke, to be honest. No way that any parent would buy their children such a ridiculous "toy". You're right - it IS horrible, and definitely does a good job in objectifying women (and you're right - don't we get enough of this in the media and popular culture?!) The only place this doll is appropriate for is probably an adult novelty shop, or as a joke (although not a very funny one at that). Then again, whatever article that is.. Didn't include very much information at all as to where you can buy these dolls (if you even can). It's not as if we can go to Target and pick one of these up. It could very well be the case that the doll was in a joke or novelty shop; we don't have enough information to say.

One would think it would be an adult novelty. However, if it's in a novelty shop as most adults know there's no way that doll would look like that! The doll would look like a real pole dancer not like a childs dollie. On the other hand you never know what floats a some weirdo's boat thesedays.

Yikes! The doll itself doesn't look bad, but the whole CONCEPT is frightening!

If the designer intended it for children, he or she should be locked away in an insane asylum and any parent that buys it for their child should have their children removed from their influence! I'm glad it was pulled off the shelves, what are people thinking putting out a "toy" like this?! The world has truly gone insane!

What?! A pole dancing doll? I didn't even hear about this. Where have I been? I can't even believe that some nut even created a doll like that. What a nutcase.

You've been in the sane world where no one in their right mind would concieve of such a doll for a child. We probably live where dollies should wear pretty dresses, lots of bows, cute shoes & dress up items... not like a tramp. Wich I guess is why many dislike the Bratz dolls too, as they look too grown or teenagerish. Kids are growing up way to flip'n fast as it is.

i think you dare say that this toy was not created by a person in full posession of their faculties...a few dolls shy of a doll's-house you might even say. To be filed under the "What were they thinking?" drawer for posterity

Sadly I don't think they were thinking when they came up with this one. Maybe for the Adult market, you know like the lamp from that one Christmas movie with the leg. I dunno it didn't say the exact market for this was but.... still makes you wonder WHY?

Wow... just wow. I think the article even said there was a toy introduced previous to this that included a collapsible pole! Too much. Waaay too much. I don't have kids yet but when we do I have a hunch that they will be daughters. Stuff like this terrifies me! And I thought that Bratz was bad!
