I am so frustrated right now. I cannot lose weight quickly now unlike in the past. In the past, I just don't eat rice for 5 days, and I can already lose a pound or two. I don't even go to the gym in the past when I am dieting. Now, I have not been eating rice for two weeks already yet I have not lost even a single pound. My weight just stays the same. To add, I have been going to the gym for two weeks already. Every time I go to the gym, I always spent 45 minutes on the elliptical machine. It's so frustrating and makes me want to give up. I want to lose five pounds in a month. I don't think I will be able to achieve my goal. Any tips on how to lose five pounds in a month?

There are many options for helping you attain your weightloss goal. I will list a few that I have either heard of or tried personally.
1.) Salads with nothing but a vinegarette dressing...no extras like cheese or things like that.
2.) Egg diets work.
3.) The Master Cleanse Diet
Another thing to remember is that when you are dieting and exercising that you are losing weight but in turn you are gaining muscle and toning, so your weight may not change a whole lot.

It's not just a matter of not eating rice. Cut out all carbs...I know it's a long process but cut out bread, pasta, potatoes ect. Go on a high (and I mean high) protien diet. When I started I weighed 95kgs, for that weight I had to have 80grams of protien a day & less than 2000kj a day. Within the 1st week of this diet I lost 5kgs. Not a lot but enough that people could tell the difference. I don't exercise much, not at all at a gym (I find I can do the same stuff at home) and the weight keeps coming off....for 2 months now I have been having protien shakes, protien bars (all with very low carbs) and pretty much nothing else. I take vitiman tablets to compensate for the lack of vitamins I am getting & every now & then I will make a soup that has nothing but celery(with the leaves), string beans, carrots & a bit of pepper for taste. I can no longer fit into my old clothes, & I have just had to buy more smaller ones.

i think there is nothing more important that your health. it is a good thing to have a good appetite, why force yourself to do so frustrating thing in order to lost several pounds. if you want to make yourself have a good shape, you can take part in some PE sports in your spare time. Taking healthy methods to keep good shape will make no hart to your health.

Try taking white sugar completely out of your diet. And then when you eat meals do not mix your carbs, fats, and fruits together.
For example: If you want to have a sandwhich you can't have meat on it. So keep those three things seperated in your meals.
Look up Suzanne Somers she has alot of wonderful recipes, even great deserts that you can make that don't have sugar and can go with your meals.
I've been on this diet and within the first week I lost 5 1bs. So it does work. Sugar is actually the biggest contributer to fat lining around the stomach area and unless you cut it out of your diet completely, working out won't do anything to get it away.
Good luck, I hope this helped.

Wow you lost 5 pounds in in just a week? How I wish it could be said the same of me. I will try to cut out sugar from my diet though it would be really hard for me to do so. Thanks for the other information. I did not know you should not mix carbs, fats, and fruits in a meal. I do hope this will be as effective for me as it was for you. :)

Depending on your size and whatnot you don't need to worry about not eating carbs or not eating protein you need to focus on calories www.buddyslim.com is a great free site that you can go on and see how many calories based on your weight, height, daily activity you burn everyday. To lost 1lb a week reduce that by roughly 500 unless your going to be working out then you can track that and make changes accordingly. It takes time to see the progress because weight weight adds to all this based on period and salt intake. This site also has a FANTASTIC support team. I've lost about 34lbs since I began in January. Slow but continuous. You can do it girl! Do NOT believe fad diets they might work as a quick fix but don't always keep it off

Exercise out doors as far as possible. There are two advantages of doing whatever you are doing out side. One advantage is that it gives your body a chance to get a lot of the much needed fresh air and sunshine. The second advantage is that the surroundings keep you perked up and it is a break form remaining cooped up all day lon. Also Please take a look on the count of calories. If you can make it and balance the calories, then the body can maintain its balanced weight neither less or high.

Keep it up and I'm sure the pounds will come off. Muscle mass (what you gain from working out) weighs more than fat, but also burns more calories than fat (meaning that initially you may gain muscle weight, but it will start burning off your extra weight soon). So keep your head held up high and keep doing a good job! Otherwise what you could also do is step up your workout a little bit - do an hour or 1 1/2 hours instead of 45 minutes, and make sure you switch up which machines you use from time to time! This keeps you from plateau-ing.
At any rate, you should know that losing weight is NOT a race and you should work at your own pace. Enough persistance and effort, and you WILL lose weight - it's just a matter of time. So be patient and keep up the good work!
